the dark knight rises.

Migrated topic.
I'm surprised it took as long as it did for this topic to come up on this forum.

IMO James Holmes looks like he is tripping on LSD while in court. Looks like a dark trip with sudden emotional swings and extreme confusion.

Probably the anti-psychs they've got him on. I did those same facial expressions trying to drive to work after getting too high on hydrocodones.

We don't know that he's on anti-psychs; what we do know is that he has spent time in solitary confinement (for his own protection, its been said) and for some people even a relatively short-spell in solitary with alot to mull over in ones mind can do this.As more info is presented in time, I guess we may well come to know what the fuller story is.

Ya I didn't mean to come of as "a matter of fact" like, just from my experience he sure looks like he's doped up on something. You can see his attention wander, then he looks up at the judge, then has difficulties focusing. Then you see the "wow" expression that I have seen seen others do. This is all just speculation of course. Bit I also know its not an uncommon thing to dose certain people being convicted of extremely violent crimes during there court hearing. Maybe to extinguish any attempt to violent protest?

We will see that's for sure. Curious how the story will unfold.

Is this off topic? I think the main topic was of the movie itself and not about the killing spree.

Yeah it matters, when somebody has so much going for them and they do something like this then it really makes you wonder what the hell is wrong with that person....

Everyone expects poor people with no future to snap, but when financially well off people with a bright furure snap, well then it generally comes as a shock.

DMT makes me very empathetic, the news media doesn't really make me any more empathetic than DMT already has.

So, you see financial security as the be all end all of earthly experience, and career opportunity as the antidote to the human condition/cure for mental illness?

And this is the message you've gotten from psychedelics??

Stole the words right from my mou--erm, finger tips. :p

Saw this yesterday, pretty much guessed exactly how it would end but very pleased it turned out that way. I'm not even big on superhero movies, but considering this was never even intended to be a trilogy at all, it is one of the best trilogies I have seen. There is a lot less action, but the emotion and storytelling gives the action a third dimension here. Well worth watching.

Art, I see where your coming from but that's not really what I meant. Finacial security is quite obviously not the cure all for the human condition in general. Speaking for my own personal human condition however, from my point of view, money is pretty much the only thing I'm missing in life. Not that I like it this way, society is just designed this way.

Spiritual enlightment does lots of things for me, but it does not pay my bills, Not that I expect that it should...
