I’m happy to announce that we are moving forward quickly after a recent investment. The timing couldn’t have been better, and will significantly help progress. However, we continue searching for final funding. Please consider a tax-deductible donation via Dr. Strassman’s Cottonwood Research Foundation:
No the film is not out. I think that due to funding issues the film was delayed. Not sure if I am looking forward to the release of it though. :? DMT in the Media Eye can only spell trouble.

Somehow I can't see a film that can't really fund its own release being a big media smasher to be honest. Terrence McKenna is far more apt for doing that if you ask me. Even in death little snippets of his voice are getting around everywhere. I can't see much misdirected attention falling onto this direction. There's already many a documentary on ayahuasca and what have you so...

yeh.

There is also an edit button in the top right ;)

The spirit mollecule movie - yeah, I am quite eagerly expecting this. However, I don't look forward to the unwanted attention it'll bring. That being said, those who want to find dmt and walk the entheogenic path, will find it or will have read about it anyway. Its not like it will bring in a whole new crop of people who wouldn't otherwise have found out about DMT anyway. or will it? *confused*

I'm good friends with the producer of this film so if anyone has any questions I'd be happy to answer them.

Funding was only one cause for delay, but there were others. And Dennis has played an enormous role in the creation of this documentary. Unlike many/all of those ayahuasca documentaries which focus on the spiritual/legal issues surrounding it's use none of them cover to any extent the active molecule. So far Mitch has captured 700 hours of film, a lot of that being interviews from some really influential figures.

@State of the Mind:
This will probably only exasperate your feelings on the subject, but right now Texas is the only state in which the DEA (FBI?) is holding all imports of MHRB. Coincidentally, that's where the producer lives. However I don't think that this film will bring "unwanted attention." There's no such thing. If it takes law makers shouting at people to keep asleep in order for them to wake-up, then so be it. Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocre minds.

Anyways, I met Mitch earlier this year through my brother. He's a hell of a character and has put his heart and spirit into the movie. I think everyone here will be impressed by the results. The first cut was just finished last week, we're thinking a February/March release will happen.
