THH ismoer question

I recently procured some synthetic/racemic THH and the effects were worlds away from what I have heard purported. This leads to my question- does anyone know about the different subjective effects resulting from the different isomers?

This THH was from the "cheap" source discussed often as of late in this forum.

THH is known to racemize fairly rapidly although I don't know if the racemization rate has been studied. Would you plan on separating the (+) and (-) enantiomers? It would be worth finding out about the racemization rate lest the project turned out to be something of a waste of effort, at least with respect to discerning a difference in subjective effects between the two enantiomers. Of course, doing the science itself of resolving THH would not be a waste of time at all. Sounds like a great project.

It's very unlikely that the difference in subjective effects that you experienced is down to the racemic THH, versus someone else having had a product with a significant enantiomeric excess one way or the other - although you could check whether the individual enantiomers of THH are available commercially. Asymmetric synthesis would be possible as well, but again the question of racemization comes into play.
