Acetone was banned to the public in the country where i live, am i just [screwed] to most acetone extractions?(ie, salvinorin) is it worth it to make my own or could i just use ethanol or others for most?
chloroform is also banned :/ thanks anyways tho, even sodium hydroxide is banned above 22%There are other solvents that work... IDK specifically if you were to make pure crystals but you can extract with chloroform.
This paper doesn't use acetone https://sci-hub.st/10.1016/j.chroma.2011.09.056
Yea some things I can't buy outright but you can distill or extract or make your own chemicals some times. I've read you can make chloroform with bleach and isopropanol but IDK if true I only see acetone being used. Research first so you don't harm yourself.chloroform is also banned :/ thanks anyways tho, even sodium hydroxide is banned above 22%
Unfortunate, but please consider using better language:Acetone was banned to the public in the country where i live, am i just fucked to most acetone extractions?(ie, salvinorin) is it worth it to make my own or could i just use ethanol or others for most?

Yes - the isopropanol first gets oxidised to acetone anyhow. It just means you need one extra molar amount of bleach for the reaction. Ethanol can also be used, although the reaction may be less efficient. Keywords: haloform reaction.I've read you can make chloroform with bleach and isopropanol but IDK if true I only see acetone being used. Research first so you don't harm yourself.
