Hey all!

Times are weird. The world is in a tussle. During this time of tumult, we should all do what we can to minimize our risks and impact on this situation. As many have heard I’m sure, social distancing is a big one. So I thought this would be a good place for us to post ideas of things to do at home, movies to watch, books to read, or just venting about your boredom. A spot to support each other during these trying times. Also as was suggested in another thread, pop on chat in the coming weeks. Stay connected.

Movie to watch- The Wave. Starring Justin Long. I’ve talked about it before. Great movie about a guy that takes a psychedelic and the universe balancing itself.

Shows- Rick and Morty, Sunny in Philadelphia. Hunters, a new show on Amazon about nazis in America, and a rag tag group that hunts them down

Book- Swan Song. Loved this book since high school. A fantasy/post-apocalyptic story about a girl that can make plants grow in a dying world. Real long book, but absolutely incredible.

Wrapped up in bed with my girl. Watching some Walking Dead. Smoking harmala fortified cigarettes followed by 40 mg blasts from the gvg, just as often as I feel like. Just had a CRAZY trip!!! CRAZY!!

She has sniffles and congestion. I am worried. I suppose it will be romantic if we catch covid19 together.

If you haven't already, check out The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. It is great. Skeksis draining gelfling to drink their essence! Tasty!!! They're so bad!!

First two episodes of the new season of black Monday are out

Star trek-picard has been going on for the last few weeks , also check out the mandalorian

Mandalorian isn’t all that for me, but the Picard thing might just get me to buy that subscription and binge it during these dark times........

Very good idea of a thread!

The fact that I worry for my kin means I'm not in the best state to smoke/vape.

TV Shows : I'd recommend to watch and or rewatch The Wire.
The Good Place is good surprise.
Brooklyn 99 is funny : )

Books : Timothy Leary's biography by John Higgs is really great.
Alan Watts' Beyond Theology
Deleuze and Guattari's A thousand plateaus

I miss my girl!
Also, I have to teach, like VC style, and it's a pain...

So my neighbor stared at me very seriously this morning with a look of disgust on his face. He said he heard me coughing all evening last night.

I said don’t worry, it’s just the canabivirus. 🍁🍁🍁

I am pleasantly surprised with how people are responding to the situation. I’ve heard of artists putting on shows from their houses because their tours were cancelled. This D&D videocast my buddy watches is going to have their players stream from their houses since the studio they record in got shut down. An author of this children’s book series is doing something at lunch time everyday called Lunch Doodles, where he draws and goes over his writing process for kids out of school.

I see a glimpse of hope for human kind.

The problem for the artists, is that their shows the next 6 months are cancelled, and they have no income in sight. The same for concert arrangers and scenes, festivals etc. Streaming live concerts are now the only income source for artists touring.

So support your favourite and local artists by watching their streams and donate some so they can survive economically.

Blessings

Yeah... I was offered a spot in a show a couple of weeks ago starting at the beginning of April. Oh well. Opportunities come and go.

Hermit mode is good for production, if one can overcome fear and depression paralysis.

Bill- What kind of music do you create? And if anything is good for fear and depression paralysis, it being creative. Music, art, writing, whatever it is, just create. Its chicken soup for the soul.

Side note on the concert cancelling. The universe was looking out for me I think. The day before my taxes came in, in which I was going to buy two tickets to paradise (Bonnaroo), the festival sold out. Now it’s been postponed until September, if it happens at all. Saved me 700 bucks. Thanks Youniverse!
