Hello to all, both members old and new.

I've been lurking these forums for the better part of about 2 weeks now and had always heard about the nexus in common culture lore surrounding my interests, but never ventured into this land of shared knowledge and community care until now. I've found myself mostly in the experience section, browsing the vast library of reports you all have been so kind to share. I have few interests worth sharing here that define who I am, but I have always had a great interest in chemistry, science, exploration and recently I've taken to crafting my own knives as a creative outlet and time for reflection. My hope is to gather new knowledge and share my own under the duration of my time as a member of this community. All being said, I have questions already!

Hi, welcome to the forum!

The Nexus is a great place to be, IMO. Whether you are looking for info on chemistry/extractions, philosophy, art/music, or practically anything in between, it is all within reach. Lots of friendly and knowledgeable people around here willing to share experiences/advice, which is one of the best things about this place, I'd say.

If you are looking for answers to your questions, it is always a good idea to follow forum etiquette by first searching through the site for existing threads, and/or browsing through the FAQ and WIKI (of course, both are down at the moment of writing this 😁 ) to see if it has already been answered. This is a communal effort to reduce forum clutter and excessive repetition of topics. If something isn't clear, or the question wasn't really answered, by all means, start a new topic and ask away! A lot of our threads fade away into the archives as fragmented conversations so it can be challenging at times to piece it all together.

Also, if chat is up and running, you can jump in there and usually someone is hanging around to assist in a much quicker manner than posting on the forum. Chat can be really fun because of all the silly and lovable characters that hang out in there. As a new member, the chat area may seem kind of dead but that is because there are multiple chat rooms and it may take a moment for someone to notice that there is activity in the welcome chat.
