traditional salvia ceremonies..

Does anyone know if there is any footage or documentaries of the traditional use of salvia divinorum in ceremonires?? There's so much aya footage out there, peyote and pedro footage, films of iboga ceremonies and such..even yopo..but I never see anything of salvia other than retarted kids on youtube smoking extracts and "tripping out". It's sad, she is really such a wonderul teacher if used properly..I would love to see anything at all about her traditional usage by the currandero's who actually heal with her.

Most people really dont respect salvia at all..and I think a lack of this type of documentation is part of that. I see videos of all these shamans and they're icaros on you tube, and it makes aya look more sacred than fun (with good reason of course)...

It seems to me that of all the origional native entheogenic plant healing modalities in the america's, salvia is the least tainted by outsiders by far. There is no salvia tourism as far as I know, which is a good thing I know...

It's funny though becasue salvia is everywhere, you can buy it literally at corner stores, yet noone seems to give a shit about the culture she emerged from.
 

Towards the end Daniel Seibert does a traditional ceremony with fresh leaf.This is the best video on salvia i have found.

The Mazatecs know what they are doing.They chew fresh leaf.They would never smoke salvia.As far as quidding it has been discovered that the traditional method of chewing and eating the leaves is the most efficient method.Rather than placing the quid in the cheek or under the tongue you chew the leaf and tilt your head back to allow for pharyngeal absorbstion.Then you swallow the juice and leaf instead of spitting it out.The whole leaf is more beneficial than just the salvinorin.Its very arrogant of us to think that we know more about it in a few years than the Mazatecs learned for hundreds or thousands of years.
 
I enjoy smoking salvia, but not as much as quidding..smoking is just interesting to me philisophically...I have quidded it in the traditional way, and have been growing it for the last 2 years, trying get a large supple of live plants going for this purpose..

I have seen that video before as well, but still doesnt really reflect much on the true visionary realms of the experience..it is good, but still it would be interesting to see a documentary concerning mazatec ceremonies...

The best thing I have ever watched on salvia was this video by Kathlene Harrison..


Watching this over again now I think I will dedicate my salvia trips to quids now...I think I have gotten all I want out of it through smoking..
 
Ihear so much talk downplaying this plant and it really makes me sad..If you have met her you just know..and that's all there really is to it. I have met her many times literally face to face and she is not the beast others make her out to be. This plant is so gentle and loving of humanity, people just dont like looking into the mirror she sometimes shows us.

Most people I talk to have only tried extracts, and in such weird settings I dont know how they could possibly expect anything out of it, to the point where in my opinion they have never really had a salvia trip at all.

Makes me so sad when I think about it..seeing old men at tobacco shops trying to sell all this purple sticky shit to unknowing teenage pot smokers..I think these people should be charged in a court of law for that type of shit, preying on the innocent..
 
I have ground up 15x, I dont think its standardized.... can you tell me if I can make a quid out of it? Id like to experience the better side of salvia that you talk about....
 
Salvia Extract put into a tea bag with some Coca leafes or something like that .
I cant get fresh leaves at the Moment , and dont see why a 20x Extract shouldnt work as well.

Im also curious if it will work .

I get the same impression from people. I've actually NEVER met anyone in person that has tried Salvia and continues to smoke her. I've spoken to maybe 20 people who have done it, and they all basically say they'll never do Salvia again because it scares the shit out of them. It's no surprise to me because most people live in a constant state of fear. I feel there is even a negative stigma against Salvia on the Nexus which is surprising to me because everyone here is really open-minded and knowledgeable.

The power of Salvia is shocking, but she is beautiful and helpful in many ways. I had my first DMT breakthrough recently thanks to her. Everyone is either ignoring what I reported or they simply don't believe me. So I challenge anyone who read my Breakthrough report and or this to prove me wrong. Sandwich your melted spice between Salvia. I used normal dried Salvia on the bottom, and 10X on the top. Salvia acts as a cannon that will launch you like a human cannonball into DMT hyperspace breaking through EVERY TIME without a doubt. You don't need more than 30mg of Spice. Salvia probably multiplies the impact of 20mg by 5. Your experience will be up to twice the duration of the average breakthrough, and not only that you will be able breakthrough again immediately after the end of the first experience if you want to go back. I challenge you to try this, and prove me wrong. It's hard for me to think that no one else is doing this, and if they have they aren't saying anything from what I'm reading.
 
I've thought of trying that, but from reading some reports I have been cautions of it.. I read one report that it seemed to kind of dismantle the dmt space a bit, and make the trip a bit freaky .. I'm curious to hear if and how it changes the trip.

You won't know until you try it. Don't let fear hold you back like everyone else. I broke through 3 times consecutively, and by that I mean within 5 minutes of coming back I toked twice and immediately broke through again...and again. The Salvia did not dismantle the trip at all, and it was not freaky. Can you link me to the reports you mention? Maybe they are in plane sight but I don't see any.

I did the quid method recently for the first time in a National Forest which was an awesome experience. My plants are too small to provide me with enough leaves, but the little that I did chew on enhanced my hearing to a great extent, and it put me in an unusual sort of meditative state. I definitely look forward to more quid.
