Types of DMT and their effects

Apologies for asking what must have been asked countless times, but I just spent the last 30 minutes searching the forum and did not find my answer.

I have performed an extraction on some MHRB using hydrochloric acid, sodium hydroxide, and heptane. Recently, I decided to re-crystalize my work product. I infused some non-psychoactive herb with the brown goo byproduct.

This evening, I consumed approximately 70mg of said goo on said herb. The trip was much as I recall the experience of using the raw extraction product except that there was more physical discomfort. For those of you who have used MDMA, I imagine that you are familiar with the full-body feeling that makes you want to wring your hands or writhe. This is the sensation to which I am referring when I say "physical discomfort," though it was much, much stronger than on MDMA. It wasn't enough to make me feel compelled to do anything about it, but it was a very bothersome distraction.

This leaves me wondering a few things...

I have read that the leftover goo is mostly DMT-N-oxide. Is that likely to be accurate?

What are the different types of DMT that I can expect to extract from MHRB and how would I separate them? (In particular, what is my re-crystalized product primarily comprised of?)

Last but most importantly: Is it a common experience that DMT-N-oxide produces more discomfort than...the other part (DMT Hcl?)?

I'm fascinated by DMT but there isn't anything intrinsically positive or negative about the experience...other than that discomfort, which is negative. Thus, I'm hoping that I can subdue or eliminate that aspect, lest I fear that my DMT may just gather dust. I don't recall this from my prior DMT experiences, but they were two years ago. If I had taken an MAOI with this and was compelled to endure that discomfort for hours, it would have precipitated emotional distress; I couldn't see signing up to do ayahuasca if it would be like that the whole time.

The very first thread that came up when I searched "goo questions"

The consensus here is that it's not an oxide, more likely a polymerized form of nn-dmt. Harder to be picked up by warm naphtha and having an elevated smoking temp compared to crystals. Trials to reduce such alleged oxide goo (with zinc) to nn-dmt was no avail really, when pulling the 'allegedly reduced' product it was just same goo factor. Best indicator to avoid goo seems to lower ionic strengt during the pulling stage, that seems to have an effective impact on avoiding goo.

In collecting goo, drying it to wax, and oral applicatie it works just fine. Never tried to make herbs with it to smoke, can't commend on it's effects there. But since there is a huge believe here that it's all nn-dmt after all, goo or crystals, it would be strange that this would be the key to a different experience all together, unless other parameters would be responsible for the change in experience, like the rest of the smoking blend, effects of ROA, differences in ramping-up speed that impact nature of experience, ....

Happy trials.

No, that is outdated speculation.

This one really should be addressed in that thread:
"Xtals are just goo with fancy designer clothes on..."
You have to read the thread.

It's freebase N,N-DMT. What else would it be?

Burnt DMT often leads to less pleasant experiences. Polymerised DMT in the goo may lead to increased possibility of burning. Virtually no-one has any experience of actual DMT-N-oxide. The idea cropped up because some analyses of, for example, Psychotria leaf showed the presence of the N-oxide. That doesn't mean that it shows up in MHRB extracts.
(DMT Hcl?)
DMT HCl is exceedingly hygroscopic and you would not obtain it in the form of crystals in a domestic setting.
