Usability of the 3/5 gallon reusable bottles / how to cap them?

The local store sells those watercooler jugs, they are huge and the plastic seems tough as hell (like polycarbonate) and it's nice and clear too. It's plastic number is "7 Other" and I didn't see any other info. Is it safe to use? All simple observation point to yes, but I have no fucking idea.

These things also do come with caps/screws, so how would one go about keeping the capped if used for an extraction?
 
be careful. I had a plastic turkey baster that looked similiar to the plastic in water cooler bottles. I wasn't using it for D-limonene but I must've gotten some on it and it ate it up. Test your solvents on it before you risk contaminating anything good.
