Hello everyone this is my first post I hope someone can help me. My initial extraction went great. I have some chem knowledge so the ab was accomplished without a problem. My first pull yielded almost white cyrystals using the freez perciptitation method. I cant tell you how happy I was everything went well. I did three or four more pulls and the crystals became increasinly yellowish with deminished returns but that was expected and a rextalization worked just fine. Here is where I ran into problems. When I couldnt get hardly any more out after like four or five pulls I decided to heat my mimosa goo and add warm naptha. I ran out of the good naptha and decided to use colemans. I had used colemans for other ab extractions extracting a different chemical without a problem but I should have known it might be a problemwith dmt. Anyway after basifying the goo and adding the warm colemans I extracted the dmt along with a whole bunch of plant fat (I believe) anyway after freezer precipt the dmt was greenish and oily. I tried rextalizing but it took 2 weeks to xtalize. When it finally did and I scraped it up it was like a waxy greenish substance. I tried smoking and it was extremly harsh. So tonight I thought about it and figured that the dmtis soluble in alcohal right? The oil shouldnt disolve in the polar solvent right? Well all I had was rubbing alc so I disolved whatI could into the solvent and the waxy substance floated on top so i ran it through some coffee filters and now Im just waiting for the alc to evap. Has anyone tried this? Will it work? if not what could I have done to clean this up? Thank you for your time
