It was definitely the heat. Even a crock pot can give off to much heat for extractions. You can get similar results without heat but it requires more pulls. 6 pulls without heat is the perfect number for me. I would play around with heat down the road but for now stick with the basics and get those beautiful white crystals. No you don't re-x like that! don't be lazy lol. good luck  ......
