Using Pereskiopsis as a root stock for Trichocereus

Migrated topic.
Well I tried my first two grafts today. Kinda dull scissors for making the cuts, so they're a little ragged but not too bad. Put cling wrap over them secured with clothes pins to keep contact and humidity.

a clean surgical cut is very important- snips crush the plant and can lead to poor take rate

a band new razor blade is recommended

Yeah, it was just kinda a spur of the moment job because one of my seed flats got banged around and they all got unrooted and buried and stuff. I only did two out of about 100 seedlings I have going. Replanted the rest with mostly good results. I'm losing some though.

I'll get a brand new razor next time for sure.
