UV fluorescent bubble solution...

I made up a jar of bubble solution to blow bubbles for my kids. Later I was in my bedroom checking the florescence of a rue extraction with the UV floodlight on my nightstand, when I had an idea.

I will add a gram of Mansked rue extract to my jar of bubbles (solution was made with water, blue dish soap and corn syrup). Then, at night in dark living room, I will turn on UV light and blow glowing bubbles.

You could also do this with the leftover water if you do a Harmala extraction, once the Harmalas/extract is precipitated out and filtered off, the remaining water will still glow, that way you don't have to sacrifice the Harmalas.

I once turned on the UV lamp for fun and games after I had been working a harmalas extraction. My hands were covered!!! I had washed with soap and water, didn't matter. Stays around a long time.

My worktops are permanently fluoro as well.

I might give the bubbles thing a try, 'just to entertain the kids'
