Vapor genie or bong pack with parsley and dmt?

Next Friday I will be embarking on my first DMT journey the question is, from experience, would someone be able to tell me whether using a vapor genie(supposedly a popular vote), or packing a bong with parsley, then the dmt, then a little more parsley, which method is more effective? The dose will be 40mg of pure shit. I've had PLENTY psychedelic experiences before and am not looking for first time trip advice, just which method will help me blast off further hahaha. On a side note, over the summer when my mind clicked and told me I'm ready, I said that when it came to me that was my time and sure enough I was given the offer a day or two ago so I'm feeling very confident with all positivity. Everyone's opinion counts so please let me know! Thanks y'all!

[Glass] VaporGenie, with a liquid pad or similar, is the superior route for vaping xtal.

Bongs and bubblers are better suited for changa, imo.

xtal = crystal.

and you could just do enhanced leaf instead of changa, if harmalas are not available

As parshvik said, xtal is just shorthand for crystal (apologies for the confusion).

Changa and enhanced leaf are two methods that involve infusing DMT into an herbal blend. Changa includes harmalas, enhanced leaf does not.

One more question, obviously there'll be some kind of afterglow but what's the duration like compared to LSD, psilocybin, MDMA etc.?

Acute comedown/afterglow can be 30-60 minutes...lingering afterglow can be days. It's hard to say in my experience, because almost every time that I've had a truly beautiful afterglow, it creates the desire to return.

Have a look at "The Machine" easy to make and the smoke was so smooth that it made blasting off and breaking through extremely easy.
I seriously cannot recommend it enough!

My experience, from most efficient/smoothest vapor to least efficient/harshest vapor:

VaporGenie - extremely efficient, vapor feels like nothing more than warm air when properly vaped. Glass seems to be widely preferred.

The Machine - almost as efficient as The VG/GVG, very smooth vapor, easy to use properly without burning the spice, inexpensive and easy to make. Usually my recommendation for newcomers.

Sandwich method - not very efficient, very easy to burn the spice rather than vaporize it, properly vaporizing requires precise placement of the flame.

Oil burner aka meth pipe - horribly inefficient, very difficult to vaporize spice without burning it, harshness destroyed my lungs for several hours.

DMT is a little tricky to vaporize the first few times. Most methods (except maybe changa/enhanced leaf) are likely to take some practice before you get it right and maximize efficiency. The Machine is great for the beginner. I have never seen anyone burn or waste spice using The Machine, and I have introduced quite a few people to DMT. The Machine coupled with a good quality torch lighter is definitely what I would recommend.

On another note: I think you should reconsider starting with 40mg, especially if you go with the VG/GVG or The Machine. Even when taking into consideration the fact that a first-timer is unlikely to properly vaporize every last bit of it, it is still a very high dose. I have heard several experienced members say that 30mg is a good breakthrough dose for them. I would imagine breaking through on the first experience with DMT to be extremely overwhelming and possibly downright horrifying. Experience with other psychedelics can be helpful to some extent, but it still does not even come close to preparing a person for a breakthrough DMT experience. But this is only my opinion, and I'm sure others will disagree with me. Do what thou wilt, but don't say I didn't warn you.
