A friend of mine was wondering, what is the vaporization temp of the substance in the basified solution, or in crystal form? In other words, to what temp can my friend heat the basified solution or substance containing solvent without loosing the substance to vaporiazation?

so is it safe to reduce the volume of the acid phase of an acid base extraction by heating it in boiling water?

my friend has seemed to confirm that it may be safe to immerse the acid phase of an a/b extraction in boiling water (double boiler method) to reduce volume. (trip). Wonder what the actual B/P of the substance as an acid salt is?

Salts are always higher than their free based forms. In the case of DMT, about 165C is where it's at.
