waiting for naphtha to evap...

How long does this take? It's been 48 hours almost exactly since i poured the excess naphtha from my freeze precipitated 9x13" glass tray through a coffee filter and left to evaporate out. the first 10 hours the glass tray was left in the patio (humid and mid 70's F where i live). then it was moved to a high shelf inside to avoid airflow and oxidization. most of it is gone but there are completely clear little oily drops that have no smell it seems. very slippery to the touch. is this what noman's tek calls "slag" left over? i read during a google search that it can take up to a week to fully evaporate.

so, in everyone's experience, how long did your glass tray take to evaporate fully before you could scrape and collect crystals? this is still my first time, should i just scrape the dry stuff now? should i let everything evap?

thanks for your time and any responses. :)

maybe this is your answer ?

also i think, no one here can tel because you don't name the type of naphtha you use.

hen it was moved to a high shelf inside to avoid airflow and oxidization.

no need for that, i would use a fan, dmt does not oxidize that fast.

Did you do an evap test beforehand?
It could be an impurity in the naptha or a heavy naptha, it can take a while for it to evaporate in open air even in a warm air temperature and you say its humid there so it could be collecting water too.
It may be dmt or even dmt and nmt not yet crystalizing because of the nmt, clear oily goo. The combination of both can takes weeks to crystalize. Was it mhrb or acrb?

It was shredded mhrb that was ground up in a blender. I did do an evap test and there was no residue. also, the glass measuring cup i used to pour it initially also evaporated with no residue.

answer in my name? you mean this stuff could be a fan of floors too? :p i kid 😉

sorry,i guess i need to work on specifying more details in my original post questions.
