That post of mine you quoted was mostly a copy/paste from google's AI summarizer. I probably asked google something like "Are schizophrenic people more likely to start cults?" or something.I have to ask you all 3 simple questions before I can honestly comment on Icon's post. Being I was diagnosed with schizophrenia 25 years ago. First question- "Do you believe in a power greater than yourself? yes or no." Second question- "Do you believe anything is possible?" "yes or no?" And the third question is " Can you hear the pictures on your stereo?" yes or no?" There are no right or wrong answers to these questions, so don't think the last one is some kind of trick question. I designed it to see where your mind is in the conscience level of reality and understanding, . I must admit your comments on a condition the professionals have still yet to figure out what causes this condition, and openly admit they don't know, intrigues me. After 25 years of dealing with a Unique Extra Vocal Signature in my head, all day every day. The moment I regain consciousness to right before I go to sleep. I am forced against my will, to listen to the exact same vocal signature quite different from my own inner voice. I can tell you many things I've seen and heard over 25 years, and I'm sure you will say the same thing as the shrinks would if I told you. I might add this little tad bit, for you must have read a great deal or know someone who has been diagnosed with something in the schizophrenia family. Oh, and I've only done DMT once in my life, acid twice in college and shrooms maybe ten times. but every time I eat mushrooms or make a tea. It rains. I mean it literally starts raining. I'm sure it's just a coincidence. I never checked the weather forecast before I took mushrooms. it's been over 20 years since I've done any of them.
I'm a musician, singer song writer, a friend of mine turned me on to a little puff two days before Christmas
And when I asked him if he could get anymore, he said his guy was out and he had to wait until he got some or made some.
"Made some" the light bulb" just turned on in my brain, and my research began
And since I'm old and still get confused about how all the Tek works and the abbreviations what they mean. I have to read a lot sometimes until someone will finally tell me what the Tek is. I believe you're referring to the technique, the procedure, the recipe, the method, the how to do it honestly, I don't know if I'm on the right forum or not. I believe DMT nexus has moved or something and I'm not a member yet. so, it might not even let me reply. That's too bad cause I'm sure you guys and gals could use a few laughs. And if there is one thing I do well in this world its putting smiles on people's faces. even the people I annoy end up having to laugh at me and with me, just because I'm so damn honest, and so entertaining.
However, I'm always looking for new information, and I'd never heard that schizo's were primary leaders of cults and stuff like that. or is that only after the consumption of DMT. I just want to prepare myself for the vampire, werewolf, like metamorphosis that I might go through if I do anymore DMT. interested on your answers to my 3 questions.
I got the idea from a friend I had for a decade; he was schizophrenic. He told me this story several times over the years, about a conversation he had with a psychologist or therapist in his teens, so I got the impression it was an important, unforgettable moment to him. He said the therapist told him he could be an effective cult leader. He never explained the context, or whether the therapist provided reasons; he just accepted her opinion as fact and adopted that potential. Almost like she seeded the idea for him.
He wasn't a cult leader, but not for lack of trying. He was an artist of many mediums, and influence was something he cultivated with intention. He idolized artists that reportedly made pacts with spirits for powers. I don't think he valued relationships in the same way most people do. People were more of an opportunity for him to exercise influence on. Being center of attention was a compulsion for him. He couldn't even walk down the sidewalk without showing off for complete strangers like a modern-day jester. He'd have strong conviction about his beliefs, which was usually harmless, like praying to certain planets at certain hours on certain days - for god knows what reason, for power I guess. But it also made him gullible, he's the only person I know who got Nigerian prince scammed. His ability to rationalize was clearly impaired.
He heard voices too, and one time I think I got close to rationalizing the voices to him. I told him it's normal to hear voices other than your own, everyone can. We create characters that are convincingly separate from ourselves every night when we dream. It's not unusual while conscious for a thought to pass through and a voice to be heard, usually a memory. He didn't seem to understand that though, which made me wonder if he believes every voice he hears other than his monologue is contact with a real entity.
I'm not 100% sure if he even had a monologue; when he spoke he would branch off on so many tangents, he openly admitted to never being able to repeat something he said aloud. Which would be likely for anyone that rambles for minutes at a time before letting someone else participate, but I fully believed was true for him just by how disconnected each sentence was from the last. He'd be making a point, and end somewhere completely irrelevant, and take so long getting there that you forgot what the original topic was. And he talked FAST, as if saying something faster made it more meaningful, even if it was incoherent to the listener. He'd channel 5 minutes of BS on fast-forward, it was really something. Very different from how I communicate, I rough draft everything through internal monologue.
Anyway, your three questions...
Yes, I believe in a power greater than myself.
No, I don't believe anything is possible.
I guess no, I don't have a stereo or any sound system with pictures on it. That does feel like an incoherent question.
