We watched him talk to his maker. He didn't remember :(

Migrated topic.

Last night, a very good friend of mine had his first taste of hyperspace.

He had a go and failed to break through. He had another go half an hour later and got a little closer but commented that there was still a part of him 'attached'.

So, we left it an hour while a frequent flier friend of mine went and had an amazing ride.

Then, third time lucky! He hit the VG perfectly! He pulled on the eyeshades and lay back... The next 10 min was filled with his beaming smile and gasps of ecstasy. He seemed to be holding a dreamlike conversation with someone he knew very well, this 'someone' seemed to be pummelling him with waves of pure ecstasy and making him give the most illuminated smile. He was so loud that our other friend who was upstairs thought he was having a really bad experience...
After 10 mins, he pulled the eyeshades down with teary eyes and said "I've found home". We all began chatting away about what went on and after a couple of mins he said "What the fuck happened then?" I said "You tell us mate"... He was like "No seriously, where did I go?"

HE DIDN'T REMEMBER A SINGLE THING!! Not even the part when we all thought he was back!!

It was as if the MiB had used a neuraliser on him when we all looked away. The rest of the night was spent in pure frustration, trying to help him jog his memory... No Joy. He went home feeling fantastic but with no idea why. If my girlfriend hadn't been there, I wouldn't believe it had happened.

I know Strassman mentioned memory loss was associated with too high a dose so maybe he OD'd... But, like he said last night, "if an OD on this shit leaves you feeling like this, It can't be too bad"

Have you experienced anything anything similar? Could anyone point me to a similar thread?

Thanks :)

a friend of mine never remembers anything, i think its quite common to forget the experience, especially when your new.

i try to have a dictaphone running so i can just babble away when i drop back into the room, then i can try to decipher it later and get it written down.

I had my first taste of vaporised DMT a couple of months back . My friends said I was rolling around on the floor and at one point started waving my arms around and saying things like, "what? What? What??!!) as if I was astonished by something. Once I was back I couldn't remember a thing...Later that evening, standing in front of the bathroom mirror cleaning my teeth it all came back to me in a flood, the feeling, the colours and the strange grinning Jester like being who had been tickling me under the chin! :)

Have you spoken to your friend since to see if he has any recall?

I believe the only thing helps remembering is experience... There are even times when almost immediately after the experience there is only a speck of memory left.

the strange grinning Jester like being who had been tickling me under the chin!

Epic or what... So easy to forget, but how is it possible is a tought that rises from that.

Just spoke to him... He said "I feel absolutely untouchable today...I just have no fucking idea why!"

Unbelievable!!!!

My first time ever tripping I had an experience like that. I was sitting on my couch coming up on mushrooms when all of a sudden I wasn't me anymore. What I experienced was like a type of heavenly bliss, but all I remember from it was being in a rainbow world surfing over clouds of colors. When my gf nudged me and I sort of came to, I looked at her with pupils as big as quarters and said: "Baby... where the F@CK was I just now!!??"

Mate, that would be understandable but he hasn't even any emotional memory of it... NOTHING...

His girlfriend was at home and didn't know what he was up to, she also wouldn't have appreciated it if she did, soooo.... Maybe, it's kind of a defence mechanism...? Who knows...

Hahahaha

the reason newbs and OD's dont remember, is because the dmt experience increases the energy in the system, 99.99% of people have nervous systems that are not equiped to handle this increase and brains that are not prepared to process info that quickly, so while he was being flooded with the light of god as it were his brain was tryin to process.. unsuccessfully...he just needs to continue exercising his third eye and paying attention...you dont need to have cognitive memory to experience the benefits of a voltage increase, he should feel great for awhile

...i have not encountered any scientific articles about it that i can directly site,(i have not been spending my time researching) and i am no neuro chemist. i base this mostly from personal experience, of repeatedly working with the spice and feeling my nervous system/brain synapse changing and subsequently being able to process more and more information from hyperspace. though a can reference a bit of external sources, some practices that work with spiritual energies such as kundalini yoga work on conditioning the nervous system in order to handle the increased energy assosiated with kundalini, if you look into it i know they have a whole scientific organization dedicated to giving scientific explanation to their practices. so at this time i state it as hypothosis, but i speculate that there is indeed information out there that confirms a neurochemical basis, i just dont have the time to go find it and site it here...by 99.99% i just meant most people or in general. does that clarify my statements?

I personally believe the matter of remembering hyperspace experiences is more complicated than "nervous system overload", well isn't everything always more complicated than it seems when one digs into the matter...

Claiming things without backing them up is useless. So please state your sources for this (if any) since this is one hell of a claim...

If you cannot backup a claim, then please never state it as a fact.

Terence said that you sort of have to 'bucket' information out of hyperspace; that if you have an insight at a certain point in the trip you have to repeat it to yourself at another level, then another, all the way back down into waking 3D conciousness. I always have a journal next to me and as soon as I'm able to pick up a pen I just scribble whatever I can get down and go over it later after I'm sober. I have some pretty interesting things I've 'channeled' in this way; sometimes I can get full conversations out but its rare.
