weird white flakey stuff sitting on top of base soup after adding NPS?

So I just started pulling a 100g mhrb extract. After adding the naphtha and mixing and letting settle three times I noticed right on top of the base soup where it meets the naphtha there are little white yellowish flakey looking things. I've never noticed this is any prior extract.

I'm using the same batch of bark and doing the tek in the same manner as I always have. When siphoning off the naphtha at the very end the last draw it is really hard to not pull any of this stuff with the naphtha.

Does anyone have any idea what it is? I just finished pull one so I haven't yet freeze preciped or anything. I'm positive nothing got into the mix throughout the process as I'm always very careful when adding things ensuring the dishes and such are clean of all debris etc.

I'm hoping since its rather cool today its just DMT already trying to crash out but I don't think its cool enough. Although on my last extract after pulling a few times I left my dish sitting outside with a cover on it for a day before putting it in the freezer and during this time crystals already started crashing out and it was around 80degress outside.

Are you using naphtha from ronson or swan lighter fluid?

I noticed that when removing the lid with pliers from these fluid cans, I get a flakey glue like rubbery yellow material into the naphtha. I think its the sealant from the lid, and have to remove it.

Maybe not this, just only thing I can think of that resembles it.

No VM & P naphtha. And that's not the issue as I said I'm meticulous about cleanliness and contamination during extraction. Whatever it is formed j side the bottle during some step.

As I said same bark all the solvents and materials are the same as prior extractions so I really don't get what it could be other then DMT already crashing out of solution.

Well I still don't know what that stuff was. Pulls 1 thru 3 are freezing now and pulls 4 thru 6 had quite a lot of that stuff in it so I did a carb wash which removed it.

Question on carb wash. When I did it I shook the hell out of it. It sperated into three layers the bottom was the carb,then the NPS,but on top of the nps there was a tiny very thin layer of something.

I've also noticed there is a lot of fat or oils in NPS when I pull. I though this wasn't the case with mhrb. I literally see the fats in the bottom of the jar after pulling. Generally I decant it into a pan for freeze precip and leave the oil or fats behind.

I have seen that. I also assumed it was from letting the naptha or the very thin layer after pipette separation sit for too long.

You should try the vinegar and lime drytek It's what I always use and the yeilds from it are great and sooooo fluffy white!

I've also had this and was quite baffled about what it could of been

Using ronson naphtha. Haven't had it when using pure hexane.
