another reason to not use plastic for freeze...
when scraping the crystals to collect it is much easier to use a blade on glass,
if you use something sharp on plastic you obviously risk getting small pieces of plastic in your final product.
a nice square or rectangular glass baking dish with a tight-fitting cover is the way to go.
i use one from OXO - best i've ever tried.

Depending on the plastic, it could absorb impurities i it could also cause warping of your container, pyrex container glass would be best, HDPE plastic would say is safe with naphtha
