Where are the veterans?

Migrated topic.

While perusing through many topics, I can't help but notice that a striking numbers of users have not logged in in years.

Is it just the practical prove of: "once you get the message, hung up the phone" ?

As a newcomer to this world, I wonder about the long term users, if they get bored eventually, if after some point there is not much more out there to explore, and even, why not, if they abandoned due to some negative trips, or side effects?
Probably many of them are still enjoying DMT, without the need to post or read anything... totally valid too. But new ROAs and new TEKs should be a good reason to stick around.

Just like war veterans (as you called the older members) they retire too, maybe not from the mind exploration, but from the forums. Some because they believe there is no more to learn, some because of new comers who join the forum to ask questions that have been answered several thousand times and get annoyed. Note for the newcomers: Just search and read, most of the questions that popped in your head have probabbly already been answered more than few times in different posts, don't be lazy, you dont even have to think those things yourself, be smart and read instead of asking without even reasearching. Many of the psychonauts that are inactive are still psychonauts, they are just not on the forums. Probably everyone has his reasons, people come, learn, and go on the next challenge in their life. Its like school or university, the teachers however, stay and teach the impatient and lazy generation of new comers who often (like i said) ask questions that have been answered thousands of times.

Maybe they have expanded their consciousness to the point where their brain patterns can transcend the biological neural network. They have access to new planes of existence and are hanging out there. Some still come down and visit us from time to time to observe and maybe offer a little advice from time to time...

Sometimes praying to kikker brings them into chat :d

I don't think a lot of people get bored with psychedelics.. More like, life happens, job, family, children, etc, and then you have less time to be on forums, less time to take drugs.

That doesn't mean they retired, but just dont dedicate as much time to it anymore.

Of all the people I know from back in the days, most are still interested in psychedelics, and occasionally consume, just not as often. Of the Nexians, I also know of a few that haven't been logging in but still lurk, and some occasionally come back to post too.

What does nexus offer? Written exchanges with people, the voicing of thoughts, oppinions, and philosophies, the sharing of content educational and entertaining, the properties of the psychedelics, the hands on to unlocking them, and the writing of experiences.

So one will stop engaging in these activities once one does not see the point in them.
