Good Day My Friends.
I woke up a few days ago and decided that I want to learn how to do a DMT pull with the ultrasonic equipments that I currently have. I have experience with Cannabis extraction via super critical CO2, Ethanol, Short Path Distillation and other various methods.

I have been reading up on literature on how to extract DMT from various sources. But, I would love to chit chat with the community or anyone who has done an actual extraction and is willing to volunteer their experiences for me to use as a guide. "and as I write this, I am still reading up old posts on this forum"

*** My goal is to be able to extract DMT using an ultrasonic homogenizer to break the cells and active ingredients. This process and equipment should theoretically reduce soak times for the polar solvents.
** The solvents I would like to use would be Ethanol, Isopropanol, and distilled water.
* The acids I would consider using would be acetic acid and/or citric acid.
** as always, I prefer to use the "safest" solvents possible, even if I have to do multiple washes.
*** drying would be in a rotary evaporator and finish off in a pot type vacuum chamber and extremely powerful vacuum pump, I can evaporate solvents pretty quickly even at 50°C.

Equipment I have:
. 1200 Watt ultrasonic homogenizer with titanium 25mm horn
. insulated beaker 250mL and 1000mL
. 2x -30°C recirculation chiller
. Rotary Evaporator
. Numerous deep vane rotary vacuum pumps and vacuum chambers
. Numerous labware
. A few commercial mills to powderize.
. Harvest Right Medium lab freeze Dryer

Raw Materials
I have 1Kg of MHRB aND 1Kg Acacia Bark to dink around with.

Any help would be gladly appreciated. I am located in Southern Ontario, Canada.

Not directly related to ultrasonic baths per se, but given your interest in using ethanol in particular you may want to take a look at the "backwards" (and distinctly experimental) ethanol and lime extraction method discussed later on in the little lightening [sic] bolt thread. Ultrasonic extraction seems as though it might be useful for the initial extraction of the bark using 40% ABV (80° proof) vodka. I do rather wonder what you might make of the potentially tedious lime step, for the removal of tannins. Perhaps you also have a centrifuge? That would be a useful thing to try it with if you did.

Thanks for the insight in regards to the tannins removal, I want to fill my head with as much knowledge of process and options before I hit it hard. A centrifuge I do not have, O k ow I still have plenty to learn and this place seem to be the best option.

Did first soak and ultrasonic break down with Reverse Osmosis water
2nd Ultrasonic breakdown with 200 proof alcohol.
3rd ultrasonic breakdown using water + citric acid (2.0 pH)
Will do another 4th ultrasonic breakdown using alcohol + citric acid (2.0 pH)

I will evaporate all four solutions in a freeze dryer and see the end result. And then move onto the next step or one's I missed. 😃 😊

Well that didn't go as expected. It definitely was red/brown. Seems like ethanol is miscible with everything. End product was not as desired. So this next trial, I am doing the straight to base tek for R&D purposes to see if efficacy is improved by adding the ultrasonic process.

I have two jars with same solution and pH to 12.3-12.4 using a Hanna probe.

Have video of one jar which has ultrasonic process which has run for 10 minutes on a 1200 watt unit.

* visual results. The solution to with ultrasonic process seem to look better with the petrol based solution on a stirrer.

** currently both are sitting in a freezer. Hope to have some results later today. But will post actual results in a few days.

*** I added a third solution for comparison. Using shaved MHRB instead of powder to run through the ultrasonic. In theory I shouldn't have to use powder with this equipment. I will share that result as well.

Thanks again, this site has a wealth of knowledge, and hope I can contribute some innovative tek.
