White tantra workshop

[tango]

Hi Nexus,

The good news is that a workshop is coming soon to my area, the bad news is that it costs $200 (for a few hours). I was wondering if anyone has attended such workshops and what they thought about it. This is the company Home Page | White Tantric Yoga® , and they organize workshops around the world, several times a year.

I'm interested in the topic, but I wouldn't want to spend the money just to get a vague idea about the practice (like I would from an youtube video).

Sounds like a jip, I'd rather just smoke DMT in a meadow.

That's exactly it: I'm starting to associate the psychedelic afterglow with the yoga afterglow. White tantra seems to be closely related to kundalini, of which I've had my first taste today.

The style focuses heavily on breathing and visualization, and I can see how the techniques could be quite powerful as far as altered states of consciousness are concerned. Pretty ritualistic setup too, which might turn off some people.

Coming from a more energetic yoga practice, I find this approach worth exploring, and I look forward to learning more about the style over the next month (they offer a deal where new students get one month unlimited for the price of one class). However, it occurred to me that I may be a little to excited about it...
