Ive always wonder why anyone try or talk about make a STB on cacti with a freeze precipitation of mezcaline from the solvant...¿?

Is mezcaline free base hard to precip? Do Anyone knows why? Do Anyone have done or tried this?

Im doing the youtube video extraction (powder, NaOH, xylene, HCl, evaporate water) and this question came to me, because I think that warming the enamal pan to evaporate water, heating it on fire, a part of the alkaloids could burn at the end (react into another shit or whatever).

first, yes, stb is common practice// and freeze precip has been tried extensively

mescaline freebase is a caustic oily substance/ no it wont precip out of np solvent as freebase(at least easily), if it did it'd be pretty ugly and needing further clean up anyways

you can add acid directly to the np and force precip, typically via gassing with hcl gas- again this is also a dirty precip (this method will still be leagues ahead of zims extraction as far as the final product goes)

forcing precipitation after separating the alkaloids using water is the best route to clean mescaline imo

and mescaline alkaloids wont be damaged at boiling temps -- 220*F. But, if you let it dry out completely on a burner the temps get far higher
