Why won't this work?

I've been trying for over a week now to extract dmt, but to no avail. I've probably tried 4 or 5 different batches and nothing works. It seems like all these teks are just a clever joke to trick noobies into failing their extractions. Ive been doing 1g of lye per g of bark, 15ml water/gram, letting the bark sit in the lye over night, letting it sit for 2-3 hours, letting the naptha sit for 2-12 hours, nothing works.

I evap down to saturate it, it gets cloudy like it should, so i freeze it for anywhere from 4 hours to a day, find a nice layer of xtals in my jar, pour it, put it in front of a fan on an angle and ALL THE DMT dissapears. I've tried just letting it evap entirely without freezing, and guess what? ALL MY DMT dissapeared. I've tried freezing, pouring, then sitting upside down with the lid on in the freezer, and guess what? ALL MY DMT turned into icecubes inside the jar. I have about 100g's of bark left or so and would appreciate being able to SMOKE SOME DMT. I honestly have no idea what I'm doing wrong. I've tried nomans tek, lazymans tek, natureboys, they all end up in the same place, hell in a handbasket. I know my MHRB is good, or at least decent because it gets all cloudy and xtals form, but as soon as I attempt to retrieve them in anyway, they dissapear.

Could someone give me a 100% foolproof method for extracting dmt, that can't possibly be screwed up. I mean, I'm on the verge of just straight up smoking the bark here, someone help me out please.

Oh yea, forgot to add, I'm currently trying the "let it evap with the lid slightly open" method, and guess what? It's all evapped down to nothing again, great..

As you might have noticed I changed your post by removing all the curse words. Here on the DMT-Nexus we don't need strong language to get the message through, it's even counterproductive here.

That having said, you state that you evapped it all and that the DMT disappeared. Did you get a clean plate afterwards or a plate with some goo on it? Sticky, waxy goo?

If it's goo then you certainly have DMT. Scraping the goo around with a razor blade will get it harden up. The reason is that some of the solvent gets stuck inside the DMT and that makes the DMT melt into this goo, scraping it around will release the solvent and then the DMT will finally harden up.

Sorry about that, I've been up for two days and am frustrated beyond belief with this. It doesn't really leave a waxy goo per se, it leaves what look like little clear puddles of naptha, but really tiny. I'm assuming they arent naptha and my jar always smells of dmt, but i just dont see how i could smoke this. Now that I think about it, it kind of looks like condensation, but condensation that wont dry up. I feel like I'm at the end of my rope here. I really want to keep trying but I don't want to waste my last 100g's if its just gonna go down the tube.

What do you mean "nothing"? If nothing = goo, thats your dmt.

Did you do an evap test in your solvent.

Redissolve goo in warm naphtha and freeze again, do the upside down trick for a few hours and once you take it out, scrape the crystals onto a wide container to finish drying. Leave for many hours. If it melts again just scrape/rescrape the goo until it hardens up.

If it doesnt work as expected you can always re-do or do other things with it, dmt doesnt just dissapear, if you failed and lost yield thats only because you threw things away, it can always be saved.

Try this out and if it doesnt go as expected, come here before you throw anything away, we'll help. It will work

Yea man, I mean, any help at all would be appreciated. I've been researching dmt for probably 2 years now and just last week order my first batch of MHRB, and have been horribly let down. I feel like a kid that got coal for christmas haha, seriously though.

edit: well I only dumped a few pulls down the drain after repeated evaps and freezes that got nothing, most of my jars are still "wet" on the bottom, so maybe by the grace of god all the dmt so far is piled up in the bottom of the jars and ill end up with a killer yield. But on the other hand, probably not.

That is odd. SWIM and his friend found it relatively easy to extract DMT from Mimosa root bark using the "DMT Handbook" that is on this website. SWIM was very impressed with yield and quality of the spice. what method are you using?

^ Well I'm kinda doing my own variation of Nomans tek, which may be bad for a first timer trying to modify the tek but I only have these 500ml jars, and small collection jars. So I'm kind of limited to doing 25gs of bark at a time. Ive tried combining multiple pulls and evaping, but to no avail aswell. Oddly enough, I did well in Chemistry in High School haha :?

Dont throw solvent down the drain (first of all because its not a good way to dispose it, but also because you can still get some alkaloids out with a final evap and re-x)

Use a small amount of warm solvent to pick up all of this that is on the bottom of jars, and freeze again. Do the upside down trick, as soon as its out scrape and put in a wide container to finish evapping.

Did you do an evap test on your solvent before using, to see if it evaps clean?

No I didn't test it but I read reports of other people using it fine, it's escort camp fuel because we dont have vm&p in canada. I'll try a test evap now and see. I'm gonna go and try to redissolve it in warm naptha like you said, I'll swish it around in all the jars, hopefully theres some in all of them. I'll check over the dmt handbook aswell, thanks everyone. I'll probably be back in a bit if this doesn't turn out.

Quick question though, I'm gonna put maybe 10ml or so of naptha, how long should i freeze and evap for? With only 10mls I'm assuming it shouldn't take too long. Does 2 hours in the freezer sound good? My collection jars are small 250ml mason jars, so it's kind of hard to scrape them out quickly enough before they start melting back in, is there anyway i could just evap it in the jar its already in? I mean, everytime I've tried this it went down the shitter but idk maybe I'm doing it wrong or something.

it always happen to me when i use lighter fuel and evap , but they never disappeared for me because i freeze and pour off naptha fast then evap with normal fan

Wooooww. So I did what you said, warmed a little bit of naptha, swished it around all the jars and put it back in the freezer. within an hour i had more crystals than ive ever gotten before. so i poured the naptha, capped it real quick and stuck it back in upside down. pulled it out half an hour later, happy to see my crystals didnt turn to ice this time. pulled it out, opened it and stuck in infront of a fan on and upside down angle so the naptha could drip out. but guess what? within ONE minute, ALL OF MY DMT MELTED BACK INTO THE NAPTHA, THE NAPTHA DRIED UP, AND NOW IM F#CKED. Jesus Christ. Why won't this work for me, honestly? I'm doing everything right, this is some bullshit, seriously.

Guess I'll go try and recrystalize and do this shit all over again for the 7th time...

Damn, sorry for causing such a shit-storm. I was browsing some other threads looking for help and found out what my problem was. I wasn't shaking the naptha around and mixing it.. How could I be THAT dumb?!? I did two new pulls out of two seperate batchs and for the first time my naptha actually turned yellow! I didn't even freeze precip just stuck it in front of the fan to start evapping, and within minutes xtals were coating the bottom. Now that I wasted half my bag of MHRB I feel like a total dumbass.

I just want to say thanks for all the help and support I got from the Nexus. I don't think I'd be doing this right now if it wasn't for you guys, most of us probably wouldn't. Peace and Love. Trip report later maybe if this turns out well. Fingers crossed.
