Wild Phalaris arundinacea

Migrated topic.

This grass grows wildly around many natural pools and rivers in SWIM's country. SWIM could harvest a ton of it if he wanted. But SWIM is afraid that there is not sufficient amount of DMT in wild phalaris, because he somewhere read that it needs to be tortured in cultivation (cutting of ends of laves, lower amounts of water and light than the plant expects etc) to produce enough DMT. So, do You have any experience with DMT extraction from wild phalaris?

Really why bother with Phalaris, its DMT content is so low that its not really worth bothering about (yes you can torture it and whatnot). Plus the fact it contains Gramine which is not very nice.

Grow some P Viridis or D Illinoensis or such like.

But hey if there is plenty about tell SWIM to give it a shot and let us know how they get on??????

Apart from Gramine, The main problem with phalaris is that it messes up extractions by making them extremely gummy. The fat content of the plant is far more than with m. hostilis

FASA

and we have found that gramine AND hordine..vaporize at temperatures that are way way higher than spice..so it still could be a viable source..

anybody know the XlogP of gramine?

Yup, MHRB for beginners/first timers is excellent, phalaris is tricky in many respects and not to experiment with prior to getting some extraction experience.

MHRB is usually reliable and full of goodies, as people report. Should one loves the end-product and should he/she wishes to investigate further, phalaris grasses may be a good option.

Thanks for your answers :) SWIM will probalby order some Mimosa hostilis root bark from an e-shop, if you do not recommend phalaris.

The thing about your Phalaris...is that they are free for you to harvest and experiment with. No financial loss, just a few hours of your time gathering and cleaning material. Sounds like a great time to me! Make sure to tell us how your experiments go if you decided to go out and harvest(i would).
