Swim dissolved spice in acetone. He put it in a jar and left it to long. The coating on the lid was dissolved into the acetone. swim has had some naphtha in a jar for weeks and the coating fine. Do you think swim can take care of the contamination by evaporating it then redissolving the spice in naphtha. From there separate it and freeze precipitate.

MY friend has not worked with acetone, but would assume that would be your best bet.
first let that acetone evaporate and get back to the thread let us know if you have some spice still,
then you could definitely clean it up in some naphtha.

Yeah Acetone seems to like eating plasticy type stuff, the little dish from my scales is now a bit funny after I had the idea to clean them with it. Probably best not to use that Spice, especially for smoalking, unless you can be sure you have purified all the plastic back out of there. Good luck.
I'd add fumaric acid and watch the fumarate precip. Most of the plastic should stay in solution, then you can dissolve the result in water, which the plastic won't be soluble in just to be sure, then you can rebase and repeat if necassary.
Personally I'd save it for oral trips, as I can't stand throwing DMT out and I'd rather eat plastic than smoke it, should there be traces remaining.

Yeah, fumarate seems the best route... I made the same mistake with xylene and dissolved the seal from a mason jar lid into my solvent. Even though naptha doesn't harm the seal at all, I could not use naptha to re-extract just the DMT from the rubber/plastic contamination. It just dissolved it all. I ended up tossing it all out but never tried the fumarate route.
I hope it works, swim had 7g of spice in there. About the fumeric acid, Can that be bought at a grocery store. The acetone is evaporated and he was waiting for it to recrystallize. Should swim dissolve it all in naphtha then add fumeric acid to the solution
Side note, there is no acetone spell but the spice is mostly syrupy? why is that. Before it was crystal white
