This thread is for anyone that wants to log their workouts. It can be regularly logged, or just at a particular moment when you are proud of something you did and want to share it. All kinds of exercise welcome!

Yesterday I went back to the gym after many months (since June) without access to it. I had to find the right weights to start again. I've lost a lot, particularly my legs are quite weak right now. Hopefully I'll be able to share some progress over the coming months!

  • Squats: 3x5 80kg
  • Overhead press: 3x5 50kg
  • Deadlift: 1x5 120kg

Today I found my starting weight for bench press and rows. It's clear I lost much more strength from my legs than anywhere else, my bench and squat are comically close.

  • Squat: 3x5 85kg
  • Bench press: 3x5 70kg
  • Pendlay row: 3x8 60kg

Nice going @blig-blug

I'm nothing like what I used to be, I used to squat and deadlift up to about 140kg.
If my body would let me I'd still be doing it.

Currently I'm slowly building more fitness on the running machine and reintroducing some light weight high reps work back into my weekly exercises, Yoga has been keeping my back functioning for the last 3 years but if I'm to progress I need to build in more strength, but really slowly so I don't tweak my back and screw my arm tendons up!

I lifted my small 16kg kettlebell for a while until something in my mid-chest cracked, forcing me to return to bodyweight exercises. The kettlebell is a great tool, but one must be extra careful because of its dynamic nature. For now, it is just squats and stretching for me.

Vitamin D is quite important if you live in a cold climate. If I had started taking it sooner, my body would be in better shape today. Ime, conditioning is undervalued for medicine users. If you have a healthy cardiovascular system, medicine sessions go much smoother.

Flexibility and massage become increasingly important past a certain age. Weightlifting usually builds strength at the cost of mobility. I notice how much tension I hold in my lower body these days, so I constantly work to stretch my muscles and release that tension.

Yoga is my next mission, though I am currently just using specific asanas to heal my condition. Hopefully, it will improve so I can go deeper into the practice. Stay strong and healthy, everyone.

🙏

I could do with getting back on the Vit D, I work in a place without natural light, but it seems to do weird things to my guts so I've been laying off the D.
