The humble beginnings of my journey into hydroponics! This is a simple diy windowfarm using an airlift system. A PDF with step-by-step plans can be found on their website (http://www.windowfarms.org/howto/3plantairliftHOWTO_3_4_10.pdf). There are also instructures for a scaled-up version with multiple columns.

I missioned far and wide today to find all the necessary components and then it took me a few hours to put together and get working properly...but it was all completely worth it 😁 My housemates are completely captivated and all have remarked on the soothing quality of the bubbles and dripping. Much love and gratitude to all the wonderful members here whose inspiring contributions have helped to deepen my growing-related knowledge and experience. Be still and grow 😉

Thanks staresatwalls. I'm growing bush basil, pak choi, and sweet rocket in the system. My idea was to get it going with leafy herbs that can be used often while cooking or making salad, particularly to show people who stop-by how simple and useful growing can be. I think one of my distant goals at the moment is to get pereskiopsis going in an ebb and flow system and use it as graft stock for T.bridgesii and L.williamsii :D Long way to go before then!

The medium is 50/50 perlite and coco coir and I'm using FloraGro nutes from General Hydroponics.

That's simply awesome, brother. Fun, simple, inspiring and beautiful. What's not to like?

Great job!

Thank you kindly, brother! I'll post a few more photos when the children grow up :d I'd like to get a simple ebb and flow system going in the next few months if I can. So many exiting projects approaching from the horizon :)
