XSTALS! ... but need some help

This is a picture of some freebase ketamine. SWIM sent me the photo two years ago, by encrypted courier pidgeon.
He asked me to find out :-

1) how can my bestest best pal in the world dry these crystals from naptha sufficiently
2) how can he convert them into a snortable form (Ketamine HCL?)

Ignoring how long it took, can anyone provide some answers?

Vaporising it is not a good ROA, grind up what you have and let it air dry tossing it around every once in a while.

Well the way I see it is, if you have it in freebase form you might aswell give it a try, see what effects it gives, you will still have the rest of it to convert to HCl. To get it as dry as possible, you should chop it us, nice and good. This will help to get rid of any naptha trapped in there. This is all just assumption by the way, im just throwing in ideas here.

Ive only ever smoked k that ive gotten from the vial that id evap, I take that to be HCl. I would mix it in a joint and puff on it, i wouldnt get to a level of snorted, but that wasnt what i was after. Only maybe one nice size bump was used for the joint.

Id think that this could be quite the experience if it worked as smoked freebase. Id start low, like say 10mg.
