xtalizing from D-limonene and water

i was reading the mek:heptane thread and a few others and was thinking - is freebase spice insoluble enough in water and soluble enough in d-limonene to do a mek:heptane style re-x on some pure natural spice in a similar way to how mesc is done ?

i know this may be a totally lame idea but i thought id just ask, swims got a pile of d-limonene spice that he feels like playing with - the main focus is to keep it totally natural.

It may precipitate out of the water as the limonene evaporates just like it precipitates out of the water when you add base (although it wont do this well in neutral water). But it will never form nice crystals under such conditions. Also remember limonene and water have two layers the MEK : heptane idea requires that the solvents are miscible.

So yea don't waste your material.

damn, well - any, any idea on natural ways to get the d-limonene spice a to harden a bit ? or a natural solvent to freeze precip from ?

would converting to fumarate then back to freebase make the final product more smokeable or xtaline ???

Mix into a paste with sodium carbonate, dry basified material completely, was with acetone, decant acetone, evaporate. However, SWIM supposes that SWIY could simply use limonene in place of acetone, but he doesn't know how well the product will crystallize in evaporating limonene.

Edit:
From SWIY's other post, I see he already tried freebasing by evaporating limonene. Perhaps FASA would be the way to clean it up. Or try spreading it out on the dish and letting it dry more.

but he doesn't know how well the product will crystallize in evaporating limonene.

It doesn't really. It might depend on the amount of spice but SWIM never was able to get it to work.

But yea phlux go with rest of what armor is saying and try to dry it out more there is always going to be some residual limonene which isn't really a bad thing unless its too sticky and hard to work with.

Yip Yip your right moo Smile No where near natural enough.

oil is very natural. all naptha is, is distilled oil. is liquor not natural? its distilled alcohol which is natural. hydrocarbons deserve love too 8)

:d I'm just a pure naturalist at heart so i try not to incorporate anything into my life enthogen wise after the industrial revolution. When we started to plunder carbon from the earth and destroy intricate balances. I'm trying to find balance with my journeys with enthogens so sorry if i seem a bit extreme. I get where you are coming from though.

Much Peace
