Always had this problem, and never worked it out. now have a pic of it.

Procedure is q21s tek.

100g bark is powdered and has acetic acid (2.5ph) formula added and left for 2 hours.

75g Calcium hydroxide mixed in and stirred thoroughly.

30 mins pass by before naptha is added.

200ml naphta added and let sit for 4.5 hours.

naptha taken out and placed into jar and put into freezer. took out of freezer 1.5 hours later and let sit on fridge (lid is never opened) for 15 mins to look. yellow balls.

when the stuff is taken out to dry on a pan, it will never dry, only become like an oil slick kind of thing. its thick, but in the past even 2 months of drying will not dry it.

Any opinion son what it is (oil?)?

You may have lackluster and degraded bark and that may be dmt oxide. thats all i can think of.

I get this too. I live in a hot and humid country and have problems with crystals melting when I take them out of the freezer, so when I tied evaporating the naptha instead of using freeze precip I still don't get crystals but a mixture of clear and yellow oil...But don't worry, it still contains the goodies! To use, I just dissolve the oil in some acetone or IPA and evap onto some kind of herb base (I used weed, but only because that's all I had handy)

Endlessness advised me to do this and I must say that it certainly works!

I actually got the same results, but I noticed that first few jars i let naptha separate fairly quickly while shaking vigorously when mixing. this resulted in slightly yellowish crystals that fallen out nicely. the second batch of the same bark was left to mix naptha slowly without shaking vigorously to avoid emulsion while rolling from side to side over a period of 12-24 hrs, further separated and set to freeze precipitate, this resulted in what you have pictured.
This oily solution does contain dmt along with other unknown alkaloids + some impurities. I also noticed the potency of it is significantly higher. These extractions were done with same bark using the same measurements.

I had some oil that solidified nicely by zapping it with clean butane. It's in the freezer and is stable as hard chunks, left out overnight at room temp it stays solid. No idea what will happen at long term exposure to room temp yet.
