I don't rly know if this is even the right thingy to post in but we need y'all help to figure out how much water we need to mix in. Also does it have to be demineralised?
We got abt 4.29g of pure powder rn and added 2.14g of calciumhydroxide.
any help is greatly appreciated thx

Hello @Opa Kribbel,

It would really help get the discussion going in the right direction if you include more details in your question. Things like:
  • What is your end goal?
  • If it is an extraction, which tek are you following?
  • What materials are you referring to? (e.g. what do you mean by "pure powder")
  • Does "mineralized" refer to deionised water?
Specifics help people understand what you're trying to achieve, and makes it easier to point you in the right direction.

Cheers! (y)

- end goal is to have snortable dmt, extracted from yopo seeds (which we used)
- we used this guide from the old archive (Yopo preparation with photos - Welcome discussion - Welcome to the DMT-Nexus)
- by pure powder i was referring to grounded up yopo seeds (w shells removed)
- to your question abt the water, we dont rly know, thats why we wanted to ask before proceeding any further,
the guide stated very vague info about adding water into the seedpowder- and calciumhydroxidemixture

Here is the link to the migrated topic:
Enough water to make a stiff paste should be sufficient, the goal is to ensure that the calcium hydroxide can react with the plant material such that the alkaloids get converted to freebase, but also that the paste dries out again readily enough. A pipette will help with adding water a little at a time until you get a workable paste.

Putting a precise figure on the amount of water needed is therefore not possible due to natural variations in the moisture content of the materials.

ah ok thx, regular tapwater is suitable too then?

Not if it's chlorinated, but if you're in Germany it won't be. If you live in a hard water area you'll be better off using distilled water, or at least boiling the water before use. Since you'll only be needing small amounts of water you can even get by with the condensation from a clean saucepan of hot water on its clean lid.

Just so you know, your yopo extract is likely to be bufotenine (5-OH-DMT) rather than plain N,N-DMT. It depends on the exact seeds though, and some may also contain a greater or lesser amount of 5-MeO-DMT. More data is available by searching the literature.

Do you know the species name for the seeds you used? Were they Anadenanthera peregrina or A. colubrina?

But yopo contains mainly bufotenin, not dmt.

Yopo snuff is mainly a bufotenin experience, Did you mean bufotenine (not DMT).

yea saw it somewhere else yesterday that the amount of dmt is insufficient and that bufotenine is the main component, we used peregrina btw
