All of the teks will give a similar yield, the STBs will take longer to get everything out though.
Look up the MSDS of your hydroponic solution and it will tell you if there's anything other than phosphoric acid and water.
SWIM has never had any problems using filtered tap water.

since i dont have a filter i guess my friend will use distilled water.
the product has a p205 sign, is that what defines the MSDS? im gettong dirent reslults on this, its kinda confusing...

lextek, in my opinion, is the easiest, most straight forward technique.
I personally use toluene instead of naptha to reduce the number of variables involved. Once you perform the salting out step and re-basify, use heptane (bestine rubber cement solvent found at Michale's) to extract, reduce that volume into at least half by boiling on a hot plate, then stick that in a mason jar (lid on super tight) and put it in the freezer, don't move it. you can then save the heptane you decant from the freeze precipitation and add to it from your next extraction just so you don't waste DMT
I think a lot of people see a draw back to this because you are going to need to collect the bottom, aqueous layer, from toluene (this is the defat step, using acidic water). using a sep funnel makes this way easier, but with proper technique, you can decant with a pasture pipette, which is what i do.
this will produce almost pure crystals because of the built in step to separate the alkaloids from plant cell fats/lipids, which i think gives a lot of people a hard time, because they end up producing yellow, contaminated crystals. If you want, recrystallize in minimal volume of bestine. from what i've experienced this is not really necessary.
as for making the acid water, add 30 grams of citric acid to a jug of distilled water (1 gal) to get the pH to be around 4. (citric acid is food safe, obviously, and can be purchased at some grocery stores, if not: ebay)

but it is in german and it doesnt seems to say anything in detail..
