I'm sorry, that question is impossible to answer even halfway properly. You can purchase a milligram scale for only $25 including shipping.

Oh, and by the way, congratulations on your extract! I would wash that spice though, you have some light brown to yellow clumps in there.
 
for starters you need to set a coin beside it...that tape roll doesn't really give a sense of scale

and that looks like ALOT of spice...way more than one dose
 
Need a little more info than that...lol...what did you start with and what method did you use? One percent of material started with is normal. Recrystalize and clean it up and go buy a scale...Too little vaped and your wasting it and trust me you dont want to do too much!

The density could vary greatly. One batch might be lighter and fluffy, another batch might be more dense and clumpy. I've heard talk on this board of one end product having 3x the density of another, so eyeballing is pretty sketchy.
 
50 MG MHRB???? that would only result in .05mg of spice...u sure you didn't mean 50Grams? if so, that should be about 500mg of spice.
 
its impossible to know as others have said. Get yourself a scale. By the way, I guess you mean 50g MHRB and not 50mg MHRB...

Now lets pretend for a moment for some reason you really cant get the scale.. then considering a mimosa extraction will usually yield anywhere between 0.5-2%, you will possibly have anywhere between 250mg-1g.. This means anywhere between 5-20 doses... So what you could maybe do is divide it in around 20 equal parts, try to smoke one of these parts (check the FAQ for smoking methods), and see how that goes, and later adjust accordingly. BUT, specially if you are not very experienced with dmt yet, I highly recommend getting a scale and not eyeballing your dose.
 
Yeah, you really can't get a good estimate from eyeballing it, but if you really can't find a scale, and must try it w/o weighing it, I would recommend finding a tylenol gel capsule and possibly trying 1/4th of a capsule full. I wouldn't do too much more then that for the first time because it could be caked together tightly, if it doesn't seem like enough go up to a half of a capsule. Just my opinion though.

Why wash it if it's brown? What will that do? Sorry if that's a noob type question. After all this time, I am still not sure why washing is important. Is it just so that the spice will vaporize easier? Or is it a health reason?

About the dmt, it looks like a lot to me. That looks like a smashing success for 50g. You did not fail. It looks like about 10 trips from what you got there. But I can't tell how thick those chunks are. It looks like it could possibly be even more than 500mg, which is what you would expect from 50g of mimosa (1% yeild). To me that looks like a very large yeild for 50mg.

If you wanted, you could divide it in half, then divide each half in to fifths to get a rough estimate. That should be about 50mg per dose for 10 doses. Some people here find scales absolutely necessary, but I think once you've done a few doses, it's pretty easy to eyeball how much is too much. You probably won't take too much if you divide all that by 10. If a one tenth dose is not enough for you, try a bit more next time. Another method to get a rough estimate of how much you have is to get an empty gelcap of known size, and fill it with your product. If you fill up a 500mg gelcap with your dmt, that's probably approximately how much you have.

As pure DMT is white, brown spots means that some impurity is present. This may be plant oils and fats, another alkaloid, traces of solvent, or something else. In most cases it is just plant oils, fats and other compounds. In that case it isn't dangerous, but the smoke or vapor will taste harsher and is likely to be harder to vaporize. In general it is a good idea to try and get the purest product as possible, to avoid any possible health problems and make the smoking experience better.
 
The right amount of spice is at minimum the size of a UK house brick. As this is a minimum you must ensure that all of your spice is vaporised in the first toke, for this I recommend you use an oxyacetylene torch as this is the only thing that will do the job efficiently (don’t forget the goggles).

Sorry that was rather silly, but please Ash man, get hold of a scale, if only for your first few journeys. As said before if you have no access to a milligram scale using one that weighs down to tenths of grams and then splitting further by eye will be fine.

Some people here are very happy to eyeball doses but I personally find dosing wrong very uncomfortable at times. A low dose gives me very heavy body load and very high doses have a propensity to scare the shit out of me.
 
Yup, it stinks! I find changa smells a lot less, may be worth looking into. Also changa is somewhat easier to measure without a very precise scale.

FAQ: Should I wash my spice?

Though to be honest in this particular case I think maybe a recrystallization would be more effective (or maybe a wash+recrystallization)

If it smells bad, something didn't go right. Probably you burnt the spice, but brown chunks might indicate a serious contamination, as opposed to just plant oils.

Mostly it sounds like you need to get your technique down, though.

I dunno. I think my product is of a reasonably high standard and I’m quite proficient at vaping after at least a couple of hundred journeys but I can’t say I think the smell of straight spice is very nice at all personally!

DMT is not supposed to smell like that - I think your solvent has some impurities. These impurities may be highly dangerous! Please do an evaporating test on your solvent of choice before using it, to see if all traces of the solvent really disappears as it should do.

DMT has a typical indole smell, in the direction of how new shoes right from the store smells. Some may not agree on this comparison, but I think everyone agrees that DMT shouldn't smell like "a dead fat person" (however that smells... If you don't mind me asking, how do you know? :p).
