3D Mandelbrot fractal, or Mandelbulb....look familiar??

Migrated topic.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH! these are incredible brother.....NICE FIND!!! those two red-ish ones above the "cave of lost secrets" look very familiar.....

thanks for the post!

L&G!!

THAT VIDEO IS FRACTALTASTIC!! very familiar too.....

you guys are coming forth with some tasty treats! many thanks!!

The whole concept of fractals is pretty mind blowing in my opinion. I fist learned of them during a very high dose DPT trip. Nothing planed just happened to do 250mg DPT + 7grams rue and a doc on PBS in background.

My understanding is that they appear to be truly infinite. There have been computer programs looking closer and closer at them and so far just more detail the deeper you go. To me this has some staggering implications. If we can view this as a mathematical equation that is equal to infinity and at the same time we can see the 2d view. This certainly defies all logical interpretations of our reality. Logically how can something be infinite? Its a square peg that fits perfectly in a circular hole, thats impossible but true or so it would seem.

During my DPT trip I was convinced that every mathematical possibility exists, just as every combination of events in the universe exists some where. Fractals are amazing they may be pointing to something big. They seem to represent infinity and so far mathematics seem to confirm this.

MagikVenom: You'd be interested in this guys' ideas: he's a total weirdo but has some fantastic insights on the nature of the universe, which totally relates to what you are talking about.

Enjoy :) (p.s there are full length videos of that conference.)

Thanks for that shoe seems interesting so far. I enjoy all types of information scientific as well a speculative. Total weirdos have made some big discovery's Newton, Einstein,Tesla to name a few. Normal, average middle of the road folks usually seek nothing beyond there dull everyday lives and so they rarely discover anything novel or original. The uncluttered mind of a beginner without preconceived notions spawns unbiased insights that can be further investigated with out prejudice and may be the seeds of truth.

MandelBox fly-through test render:

golden mayan aliens hidden in the fractal formula, waiting in the void for their invocation parameters

Great videos, I especially like the last two. To me, they illustrate the same "plane", the first one I see upon the unfolding of the chrysanthemum. In my short experience, I have also seen another "plane", one that looks and feels more like this : MONDBLUME

It's less alien, not inhabited in the same way, and when I'm presented with it, it feels like love, whereas the first one, with all its colours and elves and complexity, is more of a place to attempt to interact.

Sorry if I'm late.

It's not so unlogical. You can only see and the computer can only calculate and render a finite amount of a fractal's detail at once. The infinite aspect is theoretical to an extent. The Mandelbrot formula (z=z^2 + c; the equal sign is supposed to be two arrows in opposite directions) is recursive. This means if you put a number like 0 in for z, it will be squared, added to c, and spit out as the new value for z on the left of the equation. Then, you put it back in and calculate z again ad infinitum.

I guess my point is that infinity is rationalized pretty well through mathematics. Experiencing infinity is the tricky part. That's why we're all here (in the universe or on a psychedelics forum).

Hi there! I've been working with mandelbulb and mandelbox fractals for a short while now. Here's a few of the things things I've come up with.

And my very first animation.

Gamma I just started working on a new animation. This time it will be several minutes, better quality and much more amazing. I will also use my own music. It might take a while until it's finished though. At least 2 days for making all keyframes maybe longer. And I really cannot say how long rendering would take. Anywhere from 4-10 days depending on quality.
