5-Meo-Dmt solubility

Hello

I have a fine light yellowish 5-Meo-Dmt solid substance, but I don't know if it is salt or freebase. As far as I know, the salt should dissolve in water, but when I mix the solid substance with hot water, it looks like it swims on top of the water like oil, but after mixing it seems to dissolve. When I let it sit for a day, there are crystals at the bottom.

So I guess it is freebase, since HCL should be good soluble in water.

Now the actual question: I want to do volumetric dosing and need a solvent for the substance which is not very harmful and evaporates at room temperature. I guess it is freebase, so in what is freebase soluble ?

Why would you want to volumetrically dose the freebase? Just dissolve it in acidic water (citrud juice, vinegar etc.) and with proper calculations you'll have a solution that you can dilute as much as you want. Unless you want to vape it, but then volumetric dosing doesn't really work.

Yes I want to vape it and can not effectively weigh out 1mg or 0.5mg.
I would like to slowly upper the dose since every mg makes a big difference.

My thought was, dissolve 50mg in 50drops of solvent and dose drop wise. Let the drop evaporate in the glass pipe and vape it. But I've tried isopropanol and water but none of it dissolved the 5-Meo

With water the crystals did not fully dissolve and the heterogen mix was is not precise with dosing. The vaping worked though


Edit: Just for testing, it dissolves pretty nice in vinegar. But then it gets converted to salt form right ?

Ethanol is probably the best/easiest to use solvent. 5-MeO-DMT is soluble in ethanol at 30 mg/ml.

For accurate dosing, use a 1 ml insulin syringe with 100 unit markings, meaning each unit represents 0.01 ml. I've used this method for e-mesh vaping of DMT. Very easy to precisely measure dosage and the ethanol evaporates quickly.

After many months, some of the ethanol will evaporate from the syringe, but if you track it along the way (how much you used, what you left the syringe at), you can make easy adjustments when dosing later. You might be able to wrap the syringe to reduce the evaporation.

Yes, you can use ethanol for all form esp smokable n,n DMT, or 5 MEO DMT FB but also Salvinorin A which isnt even soluble in ethanol but it can be good volumetric there.I used it. to behonest I never bothered as much to nanodose 5 Meo as you do.
If you have 5 mg crystals anddivisethis as it is already low dose itwill not be overwhleming to have 1mg or 2mg. what you talking about is different if handling pure salvinor A like I did. where a full blown dose is 1 mg. I wasdoing 200mics or between that and 1 mg volumetric. 1 mg 5 meo is already mircodosing range. good though you try be easy.
I ddidn't dose really 5 mg 5Meo dmt. know that hcl is nice boofed and you can dose it liquid.

Making 5-meo enhanced plant material looks like a very nice way to consume.

@rOm: yes, for sure salvinorin a is a lot more potent. I know that volumetric dosing is not really needed for 5-meo, but I want to increase the dosages in 0.5mg or 1mg steps to get used to the overwhelming effects.

@shroombee: 1ml insulin syringes with 20mg 5-meo and ethanol worked like a charm
