A. Confusa Plan

Got some A confusa coming and am planning a extraction but there isnt a solid tek so Id just like someone with a lil better understanding to read over my plans.

1. Soak overnight in vodka/distilled water/white vinegar - ph 4
2. Boils - 1 for 1 hr, pour off, 2ed for 2 hr, pour off, 3rd for 3 hrs.
3. combine all liquids and reduce
4. Basify with sodium hydroxide found in zep crystal heat drain opener at homedepot
5. Extract with Crown VM&P Naphtha
6. Acid wash- add ph 4 distilled water- keep polar layer (may perform twice)
7. Basify again and extract with naphtha
8. I will reduce naphtha down and freeze percip

I like the lextek but im not sure why it says not to be used for acacia?

i plan on doing about the same thing once mine arrives, i havent tried confusa yet but i hear most a/b extrations will work. ive also heard that a defatting step should be added or it will turn oily.

ill be acidifying to ph4 with vinegar
decant - put collected liquids in the fridge over night and remove sludge(if any)
defat 2-3times - add naptha to the liquid before basifying, mix well allow to settle and seperate,discarding the naptha.

ill basify with sodium hydroxide, extract with naptha, do a sodium carbonate wash, attempt to freeze percipitate or evap if it wont freeze.

pretty much vovins tek except with vinegar instead of hydrochloric acid

so swim just recently did an extract with acacia confusa the end product was a amber waxy dmt color iv seen the same with mimiosa still very active . my process is simalar to yours except everyone including Acacian himself says confusa dosent need much defat if any. therefore i did three acid boils 1hr long then condensed and bassifid after a day of letting it sit. did a naptha pull got dmt enough for a blast off from a small pull threw more naptha in the batch and did another pull i have the naptha pre evaping now and if i blow into the clear naptha it goes milky completly sooo saturated its beautiful. thats just a basic run down of my tek i used.

I love how the lextek look, it does call for a ton of naptha however - and a shit load tree, yielding a whopping 5.5 grams . I will be trying a slight variation of the marsofold tek sometime next week. not be racist, but i like the acacia tree more than the mimosa. it has a more modern energy.

AC sounds like a special spice.. think i'm going to like her.

the naphta looks very saturated im evaping it down some before i freeze. i have some root bark left i want to journy with the rue and bark tea i have never traveld that way and im anxious to order my rue

New update, do not use zep crystal drain opener from homedepot. too many other chems. Roebic was a easy find at lowes after going to the right one.

Got about 75 ml of nap that came from two pulls on a first 100g run.

100g ph3.8 3 45 min boils, no vodka

can someone give me a pretty clear explanation of how that saturation to naphtha deal works ?

Are you askiing how to know if your naptha is saturated enough to freeze precip? Generally if you blow on it at room temp and it turns milky or it's already milky you should be good to go, if not you can just let the nap evaporate some first, which will give you a better precip. does that answer your q?

I also have powdered acacia confusa.
I tried a test extraction last night which involved 2 acid boils (low heat,not boiling) for a bit over an hour each.
Combined liquids, basified and pulled 3 times, and then evaporated.
Got an amber wax gel, (perhaps similar to arctuis), but very active.
I have a few questions for next time if people could indulge me.
- Can a high boil be used? I was paranoid of damaging the DMT...or is that just unfounded, and I am simply lowering yields.
- When basification is performed, does there need to be a delay between pulls of the naptha?
or can they each be done one after another?

oneironaut - yea that works, ive got a lil over 100mls i think im going to evap to 50 maybe 20 and evap. Im hoping a awesome saturation will help with crystalization.

Boiling is fine. I bring mine to a boil then down to a simmer and let it sit for a hr.

As long as the separation is complete no more time is needed.

Check out this thread this was my first ext. on a confusa and I got a yield of over 6 grams 5.987 of it was fluffy white dmt and I got a 1/2 gram of waxy nmt....
