Greetings friends!
I have been a reader here, on and off, for many years now. I have decided to participate due to a project I've decided to complete, and feel that any information I can post may be useful down the road for others.
I have always been fascinated by psychedelic plants, for the better part of 40+ years, and I feel that they tend to be demonized by the general public, as they are misunderstood due to ignorance and miscatagorized by authorities.
These things are beginning to change for the better thankfully.
My project involves utilizing an uncommon plant as a source for spice. Ive already begun and will find the appropriate section to post the information in. Hope its useful. MHRB may not always be around, so alternatives are a good idea. Cheers!

Myself included, We could never have enough usable source plants for the molecule, and if someone has insight on a new path/plant that has been overlooked that person would be a very important part of our community and the discovery would be welcomed by all!

But all jokes aside, I did not mean to crack any jokes and I am probably one of the most interested hopefully a plant one can grow at home for the average person as Mimosa and Acacia are a little out of reach for myself to actually grow with any probability of a successful harvest.

While certain Phalaris seems to be the best option for home growers especially with all the work bring done by our members here!

Any potential new source would be eagerly welcomed and studied by lots of members of this forum!

Bundleflower seems pretty easy to grow (so far;))

I have in the past tried to grow Illinois Bundleflower, its said to be hearty zones 3-9, but I have had little success growing it , mind you I was trying to grow outdoors, and the seedlings did suffer hardening off shock from being moved from an indoor grow out doors.

Maybe I should have another go at this and focus on growing it indoors , I do belive I have some seed in my bank, if I;m not mistaken good are in the roots. and I think I read a study by Trout in the bundle flower where it supposed;ly was pretty high in alkaloids .

You have possibly inspired me to have another go at this plant ( Not the paint{) , I'm usually a pretty good gardener so I should be able to at the very least be able to grow it and produce some more seeds for future work.

It seems to like warmth, like 70°or so, so now should be a good time to start it depending on where you are. Seeds should be soaked in warm to hot water for 24hrs before planting. You will see how some of them will swell. Those are the ones to plant. I've seen different recommendations for water temperature for the soak. 100° Fahrenheit all the way up to boiling water. I usually just use hot water from the tap. Sometimes I'll even just kind of sprout them for a few days before planting. Depending on your seed and how viable it is, a bunch of them should sprout. Then I just plant the sprouts 🌱
This is my first year of growing it so I haven't harvested any, but at least where I am it seems to be a good option

For outdoors it would be a little late in the season to sprout these seeds around here, But I could definitely do an indoor grow of these in my vegging room, which I might work on this weekend to get started! Are you doing an outdoor grow for these, and what grow zone are you in the world?

You should do up a thread on this where we can get more indepth about this grow and get some more information compiled for the information of growing Bundleflower

Maybe if I have some good success with it this year I'll start a thread. Don't want to be presumptuous and have it all fail lol
