I'm about to embark on my first acacia confusa extraction, and I just wanted to ask a few questions before I get started...
1.) Below what PH does DMT start to decompose?
2.) Would an excess of acid effect the extraction?
3.) Is there an optimum PH for the extraction?
4.) would recovering, then recrystalizing the salt before freebasing help with purity?
5.) would ammonia work as the base?
I've got a bottle of household vinegar and about 30ml of glacial acetic acid lying around, and I was leaning toward heating the root bark in a 50/50 solution of the household cleaning vinegar and water. I don't know the concentration of the vinegar, so I need to go out and get ph papers before I decide what dilution ration (if any) to use.
