What it feels like is being in the old-school Mario game. Super Mario, and I’m happy and on my quest to save the Princess from the evil clutches of Bowser in my beautiful little world of bricks and plumbing pipes. Just doing me, ya know.

And then all of a sudden something happens (I hit the vape), and the world shifts and everything is pixelated, 8-bit even. And there’s something off to the side where there used to not be a side…. And all of a sudden you’re looking out of a TV screen at something you never knew was there, and it’s been there the whole time. You can’t name it, comprehend it, or even fathom it - it’s another awareness. The game player? The viewer? Just Consciousness on a couch? IDK. But you, Bowser, and the Princess are all there, stopped, jaws touching the floor like WTF? You didn’t sign up for this.

And then every wrong deed or thought you’ve ever had pops into your head and you feel this immense weight of judgement like “OMG, it was all seen?! Holy S$@!”

And whatever Presence is there with you, and has been the whole time obviously, swoops in to let you know “IT’S OKAY<3” “And it’s always been okay.” “You are loved and you have always been loved.” “And Bowser too, LOVED.” “You are all loved, you are all necessary parts of the whole.” “Bowser is supposed to take the Princess, the Princess is supposed to be Princessing, and you do the rescuing and it’s PERFECT that way. No Bad. All good. ALL LOVED.”
“And don’t worry, this is a lot, so in just a little bit this view is gonna fade away and you get to go back to living your life, doing what you do best, rescuing your Princess!”

Mindblown. Gratitude. Tears. 🙏 🙏 🙏

That's something they call lila or divine play in Indian spiritual traditions. We're all part of it playing our roles. I've stopped hiding stuff from God because He lives in the deepest part of myself. That's the energy that makes me possible. So how can I hide anything? The same applies to myself. There is no idea of hiding anything under a rug, you still know it's there. Why gaslight yourself? So I'm practicing radical honesty in my inner world nowadays. Whatever good or bad I do, it's in the open there. I'd like to think those are my first steps on the path towards detachment and equanimity. Like you said, it's okay. Our basic nature is all-good and loving. Just knowing that is so immensely liberating. There is no original sin apart from hiding from what we really are. Know Thyself!
