I just read "Yep, according to the IPv4 Address Report, we’re still on schedule to run out of all IPv4 Internet addresses on January 14, 2012."
And it sent chills down my spine. Maybe 2012 disaster will be brought about by a lack of IP addresses?!?
Are we really ready for IPv6?
lols

"So we could assign an IPV6 address to EVERY ATOM ON THE SURFACE OF THE EARTH, and still have enough addresses left to do another 100+ earths. It isn’t remotely likely that we’ll run out of IPV6 addresses at any time in the future."

LOL

But yeah, Seriously there are some genuine concerns that ipv6 isn't being taken up quick enough, even by people who are close to (and hence aware of) the impending lack of ipv4 addresses. (like isps and other network analysts) and also, the rate of ipv4 uptake seems to be increasing ever faster, probably as savy individuals attempt to buy them up in hope of selling them on, just like domain names.
