Acacia confusa Alkaloids

Hello there Nexians,

First time posting, hopefully sometime soon I may be able to prove myself to get full membership, I may write the introduction essay here soon.
By the way, LOVING the new layout to the forum!! Seriously gorgeous!!!

Anyway, I have been curious about Acacia confusa. I have been looking into how Thailand uses it for their ayahuasca ceremonies with quite good success.

Its quite interesting to me.

Now what I am curious about is mainly the Alkaloidal content of this particular species. Would anyone her possibly know of any scientific articles or anything in regards to the Alkaloids found in this species?

The reason I am quite curious is, I want to find out if it would only be beneficial to perform an A/B or STB extraction on it, or if there is any other secondary alkaloids that could be extracted as well, in a full spectrum extract.

All the popular n,n-dmt sources seem to have their own experience considering their different alkaloid contents. So I dont feel any extra alkaloids should be wasted from an STB or A/B extraction on Acacia confusa.




Any thoughts?

Please do cite any sources, or please show me any sources you may have in regards to this species.

Probably DCM or chloroform but check specific compounds solubility in them although I fear the data might not exists.

..xylene and dichloromethane are full-spectrum solvents which would work..A/B recommended for acacias...

Yeah I am sure A/B is recommended, but SWIM likes the experience he gets from Acacia confusa in Formosahuasca.
If SWIM wanted to get pure n,n-dmt he would just a much more accessible source that SWIM has access to, like Mimosa hostilis for instance.

The reason I am curious about a Full Spectrum extract, is to get the (now known, thanks to Shaolin) alkaloids NMT, and n,n-DMT

As one would get the Jungle Spice from Mimosa hostilis.

So would you folks suggest just using a Xylene extraction, or would one use Naptha for the A/B or STB extraction and then pull with Xylene then combine the two? Or is that just making one extra unnecessary step?


And actually come to think of it, would basifying even be necessary? I have never thought of this before, but when one basifies M. hostilis, and pulls with Xylene, are they actually getting the full spectrum extraction? Or would you just need to pull from dry root bark with Xylene to get a full spectrum? Or would that just end up with the exact same thing provided by a basifying, but with a bunch of unwanted plant fats and tannins?

That never crossed my mind before... Im thinking of it in the sense of just doing a simple alcohol/acetone extraction, but with the non polar solvent Xylene instead.

IDK just brainstorming and curious. I should of joined this forum long ago!

..in experiments observed, NMT was less soluble in napatha than in xylene or dcm..but more research could be done..

I'm interested to find an experiment tripper for get me into the fabulous world of DMT, all the people i know there don't know about it, and as the laws are quite unfriendly for this kind of stuff i don't engage myself too much on finding someone. CO2 works well, apparently.

When pulling A. confusa with naptha, I get orange wax
I do 4-6 pulls using 50ml each time
Then I do a final pull using xylene, I get orange wax and orange oil after evap
