acacia greggii

Migrated topic.

So I finally identified an acacia tree around my neck of the woods and its a real bummer that its greggii, one of the inactive ones :( Its killing me that there are so few hallucinogenic plants in the u.s. especially where I live. I would love to find a local source for spice, I think the journey would be a lot more homey :)

How about these plants?

Phalaris grass- Erowid Phalaris Grass Vault

Bundleflower- Erowid Desmanthus illinoensis (Bundleflower) Vault

Some of the Phalaris grasses contain Gramine but the links above give extraction teks. The Gramine problem seems solvable if one can find the right species.

Trout's Notes has lots of phalaris info- Erowid Online Books : "Ayahuasca: alkaloids, plants, and analogs" by Keeper of the Trout

but, it appears the alkaloid concentration is highly variable due to growing conditions or other unknown factors. Does anyone have a successful relationship with these plants? Where did the seeds come from? What tek would be used? Would swim use root bark or green material? How would you know if your plants produce Gramine (or other nasties)? Are you happy with these plants or perhaps Phalaris/Bundleflower are marginal?

Anyway, SWIM likes local produce too.

I've gotten reed grass from the florist here but its got to be a lot of material to work with and I wanna stay away from gramine and any further usage of artificial ingredients as well.

and bundleflower doesn't grow in my area :(
