hi everyone.
this is my first visit here I appoligize in advance if this is in the wrong section.

I am looking for someone/where to identify some photos of some possible acacia maidenii I have found growing on my property.

Is this the place and should I post photos here or is there a better forum for such things???

I thank you in advance for your assistance.

Well, welcome to the Nexus, serj, and you have posted this in the right place (until you become a full member).

Sure looks a hell of a lot like acacia maidenii. I am not an acacia expert, but if I had that growing on my property I would sure as hell do an extraction on the stem bark and see what comes of it!

helllo there

yup sure is the maidenii

barks good with Her
Treat her with respect :-)

*grins* ear to ear.
well this is marvelous news.

so i've been reading through all the teks and feel like i've got a good understanding.
only thing left is... how to harvest the bark?

how much of it do I want? how deep into the tree? what constitutes bark? is it only the dry outer layer and none of the inside?

hey how you going.congrats on you find.i could recomend if you have heaps of these trees on your property just take a strip a couple inches wide vertical but dont take it aaround the tree or it will most proberly die.but i would say 1kg of bark should get you atleast a gram.also theres a handbook on the nexus by coshi thats for acacia extraction.
good luck

Gday serj I'm new myself and another aussie currently in central queensland. your lucky to have acacia supply so close! I'm currently lightyears behind you at the moment still trying to find the right approach to making my first batch.

If it's not too much to ask could you reply with what tek/method you used and what success came of it?

cheers!

thanks for the pointers folks.

i am yet to actually do anything about this yet but will surely post results once I have.
currently liking the a/b methods to sound the best as i've seen something similar with dxm.

with a bit of luck have something in the next month or two, not overly in a rush to get this happening.
from what I've heard this holy grail is going to be worth the patience.
