MHRB is seemingly unobtainable or too expensive so we move on...

So how are peoples experiences using q21s tek (the natural way) for an acacia extraction?

I've done Q21's jimjam party tek many times with acacia. It works very well although you'll likely be left with a DMT/NMT goo mixture which is difficult to handle and measure. Best to infuse it into some leaf.

You'll probably have a hard time recrystallizing goo. Your best bet is to dissolve it in IPA and mix in your favorite herbs and let it evaporate off - infusing it into the herbs as Grateful One has pointed out.

There is no real science to it. You are just making a solution in a solvent to soak the herbs in that will evaporate off, leaving infused herb/leaf. Just get some herbs or herbal tea and a small glass container or a whiskey glass.

Measure the goo on a razor blade if you can, tare off the weight off the blade. Weigh out an equal weight of herbs. Or maybe even a 2:1 ratio if you're new to it.

Mix the goo in the glass with the IPA which should readily dissolve it. If it doesn't try a little gentle heat in a heat bath - a boiling kettle is enough. No open flames.

Add your herbs into the glass and let it all soak in over a day or so. I usually partly cover the container to slow evaporation down so it really soaks in well. Just make sure you have enough IPA in the goo/dmt solution to cover the herbs and leave it for a few days until it is dry an you can no longer smell IPA.

Enjoy your infused herb!

I find harmalas slow down and smooth out the experience and becomes less 'frantic'. Have a read on Ayahuasca, Changa etc. I do like the effects of Harmalas on their own too.

The freebase harmalas were extracted from Syrian Rue. Just find yourself 100g of seeds and extract it yourself. It's time consuming but not overly difficult. I spent around a weekend casually and yielded about 7-8 grams of dried freebase harmine & harmaline.

ok all this aside...would trying to re-x thhis goo by heating heptane(or naphtha)then disolve and put back in freezer? would this help obtain more xs?
ALSO: would doing a evap of naphtha after doin pull(wait till is cloudy) before going to freezerhelp the formation of xs at all?

a) I'd probably back salt it vs re-x. I don't think a simple re-x will do it.
b) By reducing the volume via evaporation, you're ensuring you have a high saturation in a low volume which is a good environment to promote crystal growth.

If my pulls equal 200ml (4x50ml) I'll generally evaporate that down by half or until it is so cloudy that I cant see through it. I'll let it sit for 10-15 minutes until it has settled and the clouding clears then I'll blow on it again a touch to ensure its where I want it. Then into the freezer for 24 hours without disturbing it.

It is great information indeed. However, you have got to do some research yourself man...we can't give you all the answers. A little research on the Nexus and you will find all you seek..

Try searching for "how to mini a/b or backsalt"

I am saying this because most of this, if not all of it, has been discussed countless times throughout the years. The techniques are at your fingertips, you just have to look a little bit for them and then experiment for yourself. Find what works and what doesn't. Trial and error...

Looks like i should invest in a good pippet or syringe as i dont like the plastic contact if using turkey baster.

Im wondering if this could be done somehow using a more natural source than lye.

There seems to be confusion on this tek whether this is a defatting process and questions if salt should be used to increase ionic strength but other feels it is clean enough at this stage to need to add salt.

EDIT: how about using vovins step 8 wash using sodium carbonate opposed to ammonia. i like the sounds of that better will have to try both methods eventually possibly.

Technically, it is just a "mini A/B" extraction when you look at the mechanisms involved. It's purpose is to remove fats and oils so some refer to it as a "defat." Although I've seen some people perform a defat at the beginning after the acid stage as in Cyb's MAX Ion tek (I highly recommend reading through this as it explains a lot of the chemistry involved in an extraction):

Yes, there absolutely is a difference IMO/IME. When I first extracted DMT, I used acacia and q21's d-limo tek. The end product was always goo which contained DMT/NMT/β-carbolines etc. While mostly potent, it was difficult to measure and store. I infused this goo into mullein for ease of transfer and storage. All that was good and great but when it came to the actual experience, it would vary from next to nothing to blasting into the deepest depths of hyperspace. This was using a 1:1 ratio of spice to mullein.

Smoking the goo in any sort of free base pipe was even worse (and is considered one of the worst smoking methods, btw). Again, next to nothing would happen sometimes except for floors breathing softly. However, I accidentally broke through for the first time using this method. I just didn't like the inconsistencies. NMT is much milder in nature than DMT and since you will likely end up with a goo containing both, measuring out a proper dose goes out the window unless you know the ratio of DMT to NMT in your product.

Don't get me wrong though, I am not hating on Q21's tek. In fact, it is still one of my favorites as it started me on my path. I think it is a great place for people to begin so they can learn the basics. My point is that when I started using other teks, including the Cyb/Ew tek, I finally started getting crystals of pure (or rather close to pure) DMT using the same exact acacia. This finally allowed me to measure doses correctly and actually make some headway in my experiences. Worlds apart, IMO.

But I cannot sit here and tell you what you should or shouldn't do, I am just sharing my experience. Does the Q21 tek work? Yes. Are other teks more effective? Sure, but it all depends on what you are going for exactly.

Going back to the mini A/B, I could never get any of the goo to crystallize even after performing the mini A/B after Q21's tek. It cleaned it up some but not in the same manner as I have found with Cyb/EW tek. It was still goo.

I was like you and hated harsh chemicals at first but as long as you are careful and extensively research and understand what you are doing, you will be fine and the product will be very pure with no contamination. Well worth the effort in my opinion.

im going to do the Acacia with Q21 first time havent used mimosa so....ill update on here end result and pictures perhaps before i try other teks and methods but like ya said never know if ya donr try...trial an error thanks very helpful though

Acetic (Vinegar) = weak acid. Personally I find it terrible to extract with Acacia it never actually produced a decent result with the 6-8 different sp. of Acacia. It wasn't until I switched to HCl (Hyrdochloric) that I had far better results.

What I said is that it is a mixture of DMT/NMT that results from using Q21's d-limo tek on acacia. Therefore the experiences were inconsistent because I did not know how much DMT or NMT I was smoking. I'm not starting you on any tek, I even clearly said that before, I am just telling you the process I went through and how I ended up where I am today. I apologize if I didn't make that clear earlier.
