Migrated topic.

Hey there,

I just stumbled again over Acacia simplex and then searched the web and archives. Not so much infos out there. I read some threads about people which wanted to try to make extracts and brews out of it but in the end didn't react back and told about the results. So I thought I simply ask if someone has some news about it or even pictures of the plants?

It seems really rare...

Hi dude,

I started working with it.
i did an AtB extraction with salting (Cyb's Tek) and worked great.

I have a picture with the tree i'll try to put it on the forum.

In fidji they use a brew but as far as i know without MAOI.

Hi Pastanostra,

already saw your extraction thread. Looks awesome and promising! Thanks!
Seems like the image isn't working properly.

You mean the ayahuasca people in fiji? Or who is using it?
Without MAOI means it doesnt need to? Has its own MAOIs?

I saw somewhere on the internet that in Fidji the used to drink a brew of bark (or leaves) mainly for stomach ache purposes. but I did not know more about these practice. In Vanuatu they have a lot of plant based medicine but i don't know if they use it.

According to the actual litterature on simplex, the bark doesn't contains any MAOI, so the ingested brew don't act like ayahuasca. I'll try to know more about and ask a friend if in Vanuatu the use this tree.

Cheers

Ah now i get you. Yes I read that too somewhere. Yes would be really interesting to know more about traditional use!
