Swim powdered some acacia bark and performed lazyman. Naptha was quite yellow when pulled. Swim evaped rather than froze so as to see results sooner. Yellow goo only.

Would members recommend swim increase the amount of lye?

Yeah.... What he said. I would maybe redissolve the goo in hot naptha (as little as possible) and freeze precip. Or maybe dissolve in dlimo and salt out. Lazyman is really only possible because of the clean profile of mimosa. I thought I read that acacia has more fats and requires a fee defats. Haven't tried it myself but I had some cruddy mhrb (maybe) that defatts were nessesary.

Thanks. Swim cleaned up his spice and smoked it with satisfactory results.

However, the yeild is far smaller than swim would have expected with mimosa (~150mg from 50g bark), although this could be a result of an unrefined extraction technique.

He will attempt a 5th pull and see what happens.

It is acacia (not root, unfortunately), arrived stripped, was then powdered in a coffee grinder. Swim believes the ph is high enough, 750ml water, ~80g lye (yes quite a dark colour). Pulls were about 50 - 75ml ronsonol lighter fluid. That was for 50g of bark.

A hot water bath was used.

sounds like you did a good tek, but you should defo freeze precip first especially if you np is yellow colour, you have to remember that when you evap off your solvent all that yellow colour will be concentrated down and will still be left once all the solvent has gone. but if you freeze precip a lot of that yellow shit will be left in the solvent and only a small amount will crash out, depending how well you did the extraction.
i also find it much quicker to freeze precip it out as its usually done in 6-12 hours sometimes only 3 if its stupidly saturated. my naphtha takes days to evap off.
my first tek i had smokable near pure white spice in less than 3 hours from my first pull which was kept seperate, it crashed out within minutes of being in a dish on the side by an open window. (uk) i had around 300mg of white spice ready to smoke which was a very nice surprise as i was expecting having to wait till the next day at least.

Swim is not greatly experienced in such matters, but he did retrieve some lovely white crystal from his freezer that says this is not necessarily so.

From recent experimentation (A/B extraction) of A. Confusa it seems to me that it is actually cleaner and less oily than MHRB. No defat was performed and I have never seen such clean xtals without post extraction cleaning! Still to assay though…
