Literature states A. Vestita to have tryptamines (and traces (?) of phenethylamine) .03- .28%.

STB extraction on seed grown Acacia vestita was performed with whole plant after it was dried.
Naphtha added and pulled before separated and evaporated in a glass pyrex, clear extract that scraped up yellow (minimal yield). Negative for tryptamines on Ehrlich's reagent testing.

Limitation: Small amount of plant material used <5g, from seedlings (however I have found all other active acacias I've tested to produce at seedling stage if indeed active).

Further investigation with a larger volume and an older plant could be conducted to investigate tryptamine presence inline with the literature. Potentially unviable source.

Cool @_Trip_ .. that's really interesting that you have found DMT during seedling stage. Not to get too pedantic here but I'm assuming you are using the term 'seedling' fairly loosely right? Are we talking plants with true phyllodes? Or still at the cotyledon stage .. if the latter I'd be absolutely amazed if any Acacia had tryptamines as a seedling.

What time of year did you collect the material? I recall that the alkaloid screening of vestita found negligible amounts during the warmer months and winter was when it was most concentrated.

Hope your well :)
