acetone as a solvent idea

I had some MHRB sitting in some sodium hydroxide water & decided to scrape off some of the residue(small crystals were formed) on the sides of the container into a cup...I then mixed some acetone into the powder and heated it up via double boiling...I'm letting the cup sit for a little while in the water but I'm going to eventually filter it with a coffee filter and let evaporate...
has anyone tried this and ended up with a good yield or even tried this at all???

I haven't stumbled across an already existing thread related to this already, I've searched... but if anyone has a link to one it would be greatly appreciated if you could post it here. Thank you.

This will be a contribution post i guess, haha
The results were good and crystals formed although not very pure/large...
thinking about using heptane for recrystallization, i'm hoping it'll work out well...it should.

it could be sodium hydroxide? definitely recrystallize in a np solvent
